First match of preseason. This is all about fitness.

Surprised how both sides started with so many fringe players - Pool bringing the big guns after 60mins.

Would’ve thought it would’ve been the other way round - bring on the fringe after 60mins

If the result was reversed you lot would be chucking down uniteds throats and you know it

It is more about fitness but it was still Liverpool v United so was always going to be a bit more than just pre season

Was impressed by United ….definite urgency about them

After being told yesterday liverpools options / reserves are all world class too ….that was a shambles defensively 1st half

Didn’t see 2nd half so presume they improved though

We play Utd 3 games into the season, I have a feeling the result will be different

I don’t tend to watch them either but it was united Liverpool so thought I’d watch

I know it’s pre season and the first proper game but could really see a difference in United straight away ….passing it out from the back and finding spaces through midfield ….was good to watch

I didn’t expect Liverpool to be so bad defensively preseason or not

Tottenham will probably get smashed by some Korean 11 tomorrow !

Tbf United beating Liverpool is just standard procedure.

In fact, with the exception of last season and a brief period around 2001, I’ve never known Liverpool to cause Utd any problems, even at Anfield.

I didn’t see any of that game but it’s a meaningless result for Liverpool. You’re a top team and I don’t think that will change in the near future.

For us while the result is also insignificant I hope we showed hints of immediate improvement under ETH.
