Cheers View! Chester is the other player still ruled out.
Jack Stretton has left on loan for Carlisle. Hope he returns a goal machine. Looking forward to seeing what Dobbin can do, LR has indicated he may start , he may come off the bench.
Morning View.

Morning Desi.
My memory is not the sharpest these days, but I can't think of a young player who has been loaned out, come back to the club as a better player and cemented a place in the first team. More often than not, it has been the first step in moving away from the club.
I'm very happy to be reminded though

Quick reminder, if you are in Derby & have a couple of spare hours tonight, u21s v Leeds, free entry at PP.
Not on Rams tv due to Ars game being on Sky
Shan Massood returning to Derbyshire after being left out of the white ball squad.
Morning Ang!
Not happened in a long time unfortunately, last one that I can recall is Dean Sturridge who went to Yeovil , did well and returned a better player.
Whilst on lunch I had a quick look at what Championship clubs have done this season, doesn't come as a surprise that majority have signed free agents. Sunderland splashing 10 million on Jack Clarke did surprise me.
Of the free agents not snapped up yet Ben Foster of Watford previously and Andy Carroll ( Reading I think?) popped out.
I still think we need a better quality GK to what we have, whether or not we could get him and if he fits into our squads personality is another think. LR definitely strikes me as someone to who is taking character on board given the type of senior players signed and majority do strike you as leaders.
Andy Carroll is a risky one, but he's that BIG LUMP you need up front. He showed his quality with those two sensational goals ( both to be ruled out!) last season. With McGoldrick experiencing niggles as would Collins I think we'd benefit from a third aerial threat. Due to his fitness record it'd be pay as you play basis or 6 months should he want to look at better options from Jan onwards.
Essex won the toss, and put Derbyshire in.
Derbyshire 56 without loss after 9 overs.

Nice one, Desi, and well-remembered.
Dont think I was paying attention quite so well in the mid 90s
The dark side have signed more than a full team, and I think Joe Lolley is available for loan. Would not mind him.
Derbyshire 120 for 4 after 24 overs.

Think he might have already signed for someone, UT.
Might have been Asia or Far East ?
Sydney, in fact, whenever their season is
Crikey! I missed that one..
Strange move....but I guess a reflection that his last (muscle) injury restricts how competitive he'll be. I'm certain several Championship clubs would have been interested in his signature on loan.
Derbyshire 318 for 6 in their 50 overs.
Essex 34 for 2 after 8 overs.
Here's the first u21 side of the season v Leeds.
Evans, Brailsford, Rooney (not Wayne), W G-P, Kelly-C, Robinson, Lo-Everton, Ibrahim, Aghatise, Mema (?), Nunn
Still time for you city dwellers to get down to PP
