I always thought it was yammas.

We don't want to lose this game but do we want to win it?

posted on 8/8/22

I'm very greedy I would like to win them all.
There are times, i know, when you have to prioritise, but hell, why not win them all.

Jake Rooney has signed by the way, destined for the U23s.

Allowed 5 overage players, UT, so hardly makes any difference

This has got the makings of a potential banana skin tie for us.

Ex manager
An East Midlands derby game of sorts
They'll definitely be fired up for this as we'll be seen as a big scalp.

I'd like to see our attacking unit, Mendeiz-Lang , Collins,
Barkhuizen remain in the side for this one to give them a further opportunity of gelling , getting to know each others strengths etc.....

Asked this before - outside of Tom and Jerry - has anyone slipped on a banana skin?

Like poking your eyes out or tripping over your shoelaces, it is something that has never ever happened. Just as well, since they take about 2 years to fully decompose unless composted, so a carefully positioned one, outside Spart’s front door, say, could have serious recurrent consequences that would cause no amusement whatsoever.

As I have probably walked further than anyone on this site then the chances of me treading on a banana skin is far greater. It didn't have to be me but the chances were much greater.

Surely we would need to know the geographical distribution of errant banana skins to know this. If for example, there were likely to be more skins in, say, Merseyside than S.Yorkshire but the population of the latter had a higher propensity to walk then at some point it could be surmised that the likelihood of a slipping event would indeed become greater in S Yorkshire. But without that skin distribution it's difficult to know the crossover point and number of KMs a S Yorkshire resident would have to walk to put himself in a higher amount of peril than your average Scouser.

I have most certainly walked further and yet have never even seen a banana. I have heard of them though.

You also need to bear in mind that, in the silent movie era, when Spart was a lad, discarded banana skins seemed to be far more commonplace
