113m net spend.

Conte has Levy by the feet shaking him down for every last penny. I see he has hinted he wants more but will be settled even if the club don't do it.

So that’s deke, bentancor, romero, bissouma and spence for less than United have paid for cassamero and Anthony

😂

Still need to off load a few though

I saw GLC has gone, what’s happening with N’Dombele?

NDombele @ Napoli on loan. My son told me he scored on debut.

Apparently Reguilon to A Madrid, medical today, and Winks to Sampdoria, medical tomorrow.

think that's all the deadwood gone. Albeit very few fees gained but Europe is skint

Thought Levy would leave this major signing to deadline day, last minute

I’ve got a feeling we’ll bring in one more signing before the window closes, in traditional Levy style, the question is whether it’s a stellar late madness Rafa VDV type signing (Zaha? Bastoni? ) or an underwhelming squad filler like Dan James.

All the online chatter suggests the latter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree. Though believe we won’t pay the fee Leeds will be looking for James. Reckon it will be Traore.

Yeah we’re basically loaning out all of our deadwood rather than selling it. Ndombele, Winks, GLC and Reguillon all sorted now. Not ideal but gets them off the wage bill at least.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think this is why we secured that extra money. helps get deals done without having to sell first and can allow for these loans without relying on getting transfer fees in.

Made about £34m in sales. Spent about £150m

Europe is broke. Even average PL players have high wages for a european team.

Would have thought the likes of Winks would have appealed to someone, a promoted or mid/lower table team. Same for Rodon

Yeah if the loanees perform well though, Levy knows next season clubs will have more disposable revenue to splash. GLC, Ndombele, Reguilon all still have a bit of time on their contracts. He is playing the long game I reckon.

And they should enjoy it while they can. Something not right with that one. Same as Ndombele.

Unfortunately every CB Conte wants is currently not available. So think the defence now is what it is, at least until January.

No real problems with our forward line, but would like to see a quality RWB or attacking MF by the end of the window.

As far as I know, whilst we have spent on firming up several loans from last year ( Romero today for one ) we still have a chunk left from the Levy £150m. Certainly enough for one of the above options.

It helps our finances too.

Profit on player trading is a revenue that contributes to overall profit/loss which FFP is assessed against.

Any HG player would have cost zero so any fee is all profit.

If you are reselling a player then their book value depreciates over the length of their contract. So NDombele at 55m on a 5 year deal is worth 55m on day 1, and 11m less every year later. So next summer (4 years into a 5 yr deal) his book value is £11m and anything we sell him for then over 11m is a profit. If we sold him for £15m this summer that's a 7m loss on our books.

Yeah I remember you explaining this before Devonshire. It seems logical then if we have only received paltry bids for these players to instead loan and sell further down the line

You've also lost Ndombele and Lo Celso who you paid over 100m for but they flopped hard. 100m down the drain.
