Where's the conversation spindle...
I remember 15-20 years ago, when people were talking about walking on Mars in 15-20 years time
The conversation is will Elon Musk beat NASA to Mars. It seems more likely.
I think the people who’d be prepared to travel to mars are quite brave, but ultimately it’s a pointless exercise
Given how cold it's going to be this winter, we need to be going closer to the sun, not further away
I think there will be some people up for doing a one way trip to Mars as it would be a glorious way to give meaning to their life.
City are going to build a new stadium there I've heard. The lack of atmosphere won't be an issue.

Musk is the king of underestimating how long things take.
He's been saying since about 2015 that fully self driving Teslas are 12 months away.

Well if you can get a decent reception you can be sure it’ll be cheaper to watch football on mars than in the UK

Well he seems to be doing pretty well so far. He is putting Rockets into space and bringing them back down to reuse.
They might even have a coupon day where multi millionaires can afford the journey.
How long will it take to get there?
To me it seems like something we need to do but i'm glad someone else will be going there. In 100-200 years it might be quite an experience but it will be hell for the first people that go there.
Would like to be there to see the Aldrin Obelisk.
Looking forward to this new space program - remember watching the 1st moon landing when I was a lad

It would most likely be a one way trip so not sure how many billionaires would give up their great life on earth to spend the rest of their days where their money doesn’t count
This is pretty sad I admit but one of my main ambitions in life is to be alive when first contact is made.
We're probably going to need another planet in 15-20 years, so...

Only Buzz Aldrin still alive from Apollo 11 and he has just recently sold off possessions to get his finances in order, at that age it is probably a sign that his demise isn't far off.
Will be a sad day when the last living link to that mission dies.

Out of this world!
Even with new modern technology and clear footage there will be some people calling it a hoax when people step foot on the moon again.
Regarding Mars, just send Matt Damon again like in the documentary.

Who knows.
I have quite a few friends who work at NASA in Clear Lake, Houston as I went to Clear Lake high school.
One of the girls in my year class lost a parent in the challenger disaster. Another good friend of mine who played with me on the school soccer/football team, his dad was an astronaut in waiting/training but never got to go up.
Whatever happens let’s hope there are no more disasters.
