They had a chance to play Pakistan in a series but were advised by another nation to not play us and now they are in the mud.

What I mean is if Afghanistan were bowled out for anywhere between 106 and 119, and we only win tomorrow by 1 run, then Aus would have overtaken us as our NRR would decrease despite the win.

Not that it matters now as any form of win and we go through.
