I agree. I was really impressed with the fight that Pakistan showed. Two examples spring to mind.....Rauf sprinting at full belt and magnificently saving two runs and Alfridi trying so desperately to help Pakistan after his injury.

Today is exactly why stokes is in the team. The pressure cooker situations where everyone else crumbles around him in the biggest matches. Silly his place was ever under question really.

I didn't want him in the side, and I do still think there are better and more consistent T20 players than him out there, but he has that big game ability that you can't really measure with stats.

Someone like Duckett for example is undoubtedly a better T20 bat, but would he have got us over the line like Stokes did v SL & Pak? Not so sure.

Shows our incredible white ball depth that we were even having these type of conversations about someone like Stokes though.

In these situations it's is all about your head and not about differentials in ability. Pressure will be on him from media to play in the 50 over World Cup in India, but we need his focus on the Ashes

Stokes has certainly matured....that ridiculous over to Braithwaite in the last final with 19 to protect was mainly Morgan's fault...should have took him to one side after two deliveries...certainly three

T 20 will make cricket global.What dissuaded non commonwealth nations from playing cricket was length and pace of the game but T 20 is fast and not lengthy.
