McT does offer something in the air as well. Although I've read Casemiro is good at that too. There's plenty of games for them across the season and I suppose he may as well use McT a lot as he can rest during the World Cup.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Offers no control in midfield, passing option for the defence, or passing between the lines. Just works really hard. That’s about it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Re-watch the Liverpool game. It helps if you are not bashing away on your keyboard, btw!

I hope that was a subtle dig at Scotland

With 2 games in 72 hours, surprised there hasn't been more rotation. Eriksen looked exhausted after 60mins on Thursday.

He is new in the team, he has to adapt to the team
---
Anthony says erm ok
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One was a player ETH really wanted, the other a panic buy by the club. Just my opinion. Could be totally wrong.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One has played in the system for years, the other hasn't.

Most nervous I’ve been about a game in a long time. Not sure why.

Ten Hag must have detected something in the training watching Casemiro. Possibly doesn’t think he’s match-fit.

Also true but I feel ETH wanted players that fit into his way of playing. It seems odd the sign a 30 year old who doesn’t.

Ok Mr I look at everything in positive light at all times even if I’m on fire. He was ok against Liverpool, not some world class performance you think it was.

Strange I'm actually feeling the opposite, felt all week if we show up with the intensity of the Liverpool game we'll win

----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's fit. He's just a player who has played in a system for he last 5 years or so. Also 30. Think he'll start soon enough, probably in place of Eriksen or McT.

My dear though is that he was a desperate buy not a need. Else thy would have bought a de Jong replacement.

I think it’s the fact that 3 wins in a row has given hope again. Against Liverpool I was fully expecting to be turning it off when we 2 down after half an hour like I did for the Anfield game last year.

Relax bro, I just say the what I see... I think we've been quite boring in the last three games, but that is mainly down to the attack and bruno/eriksen. McT has been good.

Over the last 24 hours I've read on this forum both that ETH has too much power in deciding which players we sign and that the club might have imposed our main midfield signing on him.

I'm pretty sure Casemiro will be integrated as a first choice. One factor is that he's possibly going to impact the tactical plan: he offers something totally different to everyone else. Maybe that requires a bit of adaptation on the training ground for the team, not just him.

We fail to control games which is a major issue, and part of it is down to having a midfield that isn’t able to keep hold of the ball. That’s really all I’m saying.

Love the fact he had no qualms dropping whoever it needed to be to get Antony integrated as quick as possible.

Excellent management.

I don’t care if he stinks the place out, quicker he’s involved, the better.

Not sure Casemiro really helps with that. He is perhaps a bit smarter at moving the ball to a better passer quickly.

Thanks for the prompt.

Ouch. Awful result. Probably on par with the 9-0 Bournemouth suffered, all things considered.

posted on 4/9/22

People need to relax with Casemiro. These last 3 games we’ve looked solid defensively while offensively we’ve been poor. Antony is a clear upgrade on Elanga who has been ok but nothing special. McTominay on the other had had played well these past 3 games and deserves to keep his place for now.
