Why does every manager favour McT so much, don’t get it, seems to always have to start from midfield, even over a £70mil signing who’s one of the best in that position.

The lack of a decent no. 9 will be our undoing this season!

Ten Hag on placing Casemiro on bench again: “He is new in the team, he has to adapt to the team. He has to get used to my way of playing football.

"The other thing, Scott McTominay is playing really well."

Hmmm. I hope he’s a success but he’s starting to sound like a club signing.

Give the manager a break here lads, how’s he meant to command the respect of his players if he drops them after having good performances? Casemiro will play lots of games this season.

I'll reserve judgement on the team for today until I've seen the game.

I feel a good amount of trust in the manager so even if one or two choices might seem odd, I'm willing to see how it goes first.

I’d have argued Eriksen should have been dropped though, he’s been fairly average

The bets are on. £20 on 2-1 United.

£20 on Antony scoring.

£5 on him getting carded, inspired by Rosso.

Everyone other than the back has been fairly average if we’re honest.

Eriksen is his De Jong. Understand this and have peace.

Why was McTominay picked? Thought you’d give Casemiro a start

McT does offer something in the air as well. Although I've read Casemiro is good at that too. There's plenty of games for them across the season and I suppose he may as well use McT a lot as he can rest during the World Cup.

3 good games in a row, was everywhere in the Liverpool game, which will hopefully have a similar tempo

One was a player ETH really wanted, the other a panic buy by the club. Just my opinion. Could be totally wrong.

I suppose it's easier adapting when you're further forward. Midfield is a key part of the team. I'm certaon Casemiro will play a big part in the season.

Antony in right from the start,

Pressure on him to deliver?
hopefully he can rise to the occasion.

Offers no control in midfield, passing option for the defence, or passing between the lines. Just works really hard. That’s about it.
