Let’s not forget Arsenal battered United for most of that match. They’re a proper outfit for me and they’re not top by chance. They’ll easily finish top four for me.

LOL Arsenal the August Prem winners.

Their opening five fixtures were a gift from heaven for a flat track bully team like Arsenal.

You’re wrong Sandy. They’re a good side now. We have to accept it.

They didn't batter United, they had more of the ball agreed, but hardly created anything of note other than the goal.

They won't finish top four.

They are a tippy tappy lightweight outfit. They ain't got the minerals to see out games like the top sides do. Spurs would have taken a draw at least from that game.

That’s a big call. I think they’ve been creeping up on us ever since they got shot of Aubameyang and put their faith in youth. As far as I’m concerned they’re where we were in about 2015 when our brilliance started showing.

They WILL get top four. No question. I’m amazed you can’t see their progression. The improvement is vast and in Jesus, Zinchencko and Saliba in the side, they look transformed.

I think it will be a close call as to who finishes above who, us or them.

Are you sure?
You are judging them against United who are themselves struggling with a new manager and formations.

Yet Arteta made the most basic of errors and his team just looked easy in the eye but hardly posed any danger.

Typical of what I thought of them. Very naive manager, and a team that is ok and looks ok if allowed to do so. They won't be allowed to do so against Spurs. We don't give them that much space like United did.

I think they'll struggle, with Chelsea, Spurs, and Liverpool taking up the top 3 and City probably the title.

Woolwich will be the ultimate flat track bullies, they will play some pretty stuff but fall apart against any kind of decent outfit and go missing in the face of physical presence. A bang average Penited have just schooled them, which was predicted by most.

fridgeboy the game Man Utd missed like 4 big chances and Arsenal missed one half chance? Arsenal were lucky it wasn’t at least 6.

You say that but the last time we played Chelsea & Liverpool with a title on the line, we beat them and lifted the silverware.

Why's it s big call, they haven't finished top four for years. Spurs, City, Liverpool all better, probably Chelsea and United as well. Best is 6th.

They do have Eddie Nkietah as their back up striker.

You say that Sandy but when I saw Arsenal's bench and Nketiah getting changed, I felt so much better about our bench and type of players we can bring in

There’s no evidence that Spurs or Chelsea are better than this Arsenal side. None whatsoever. They clearly look better than last year. I’m not sure we do yet, although we have a little more depth.

We’ll see but I’d be cautious about giving them a hard time as they look the real deal to me. I’m with Arteta on this. You can 100% see some major positives in this defeat.

Fridgeboy, what evidence do you have that makes Arsenal better than Spurs?

Spurs are better than them in every position. Unless you think otherwise.

Not being funny mate, but you seem to big up Arsenal more than Spurs. You did the same last season. You sure you ain't a secret Gooner fan?

Yeah Saka playing at RWB and maybe Saliba are the other two of the arsenal 11 that gets near the spurs 11. They are improving incrementally but ultimately they will get bullied by the bigger teams I reckon.

The real deal? With the easiest fixture list they got to the top, but the wheels came off as soon they faced a top 6 side.

They crumbled last year as soon as the pressure was on them. Spurs have engrossed as many points as City and Liverpool since March, and have scored as many goals too. If you line up Spurs squad, with Bentancur, Hobby, Son, Kane, Kulu, Perisic and against Arsenal's there is only one winner

I do agree with Fridge, Arsenal look really really good. Very quick young players who are starting to play very well together and obviously are ready to play for Arteta who has the makings of a very good manager.

Chelsea have bought well too so this will be one epic top 4 race for sure!

The real test for Arsenal will be Europa and squad rotation - could be their downfall with the lack of depth.

Arsenal have certainly improved, and I think will be challenging for top four again. But I’d still have them as outsiders.
