To be fair, despite redintheheads desperate attempts to make this a wum, I was quite clear that every set of fans has people who would potentially disrupt a minute silence.

The difference with this is the strength of feeling against the monarchy, which exists amongst Liverpool fans.

The combination of the two meant it was always a strong possibility this would happen and so it proved.

Will Rangers get to 15 years this time around?

Politically I’m basically the opposite of the Rangers fan stereotype.

Not that I believe that applies as much outside of the central belt. Up north it’s I find Rangers/Celtic more of a Scottish v Irish than a British v Irish thing.

Not to say the Royalist, Scotland hating, Royal family worshipping bangers don’t exist up here but it’s certainly a more politically moderate and balanced supporter in the main. On both sides I think football club and politics are not as interlinked.

Most will dabble in their teams more out there tunes for effect when supporting their team, to add a little bit of theatre.

The announcement was there would be a period of silence starting and ending with the refs whistle. Not any particular time frame. Kick off was delayed as well with it.

But on this thread, I predicted that the silence wouldn’t be respected and I then received abuse from you for having that opinion, who told me I was categorically wrong and only saying it to have a pop at Liverpool fans, and I was just trying to wind you up.

You were wrong, you were rude, and frankly it says a lot about you that you couldn’t just come on here and acknowledge your mistake, so we could both move on.

It was respected. I don’t have anything to apologise for Winnie.

Focus on the minuscule if you so wish. There was zero booing, there was literally a handful of people that shouted something while they were told to shut up.
