Heathrow Airport to alter operations to make sure the skies are silent
Silence will be observed in the skies as the ceremonial procession of the Queen's coffin moves from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall today.
Heathrow Airport has said it will alter its operations to make sure all is quiet between 1.50pm and 3.40pm.
The coffin will depart Buckingham Palace for Westminster Hall at 2.22pm, arriving at 3pm.
Alterations are also likely during the Queen's state funeral on Monday.
Your airline will get in contact if your flight to or from Heathrow is affected.
I read this today and was beyond words tbh, officially the weirdest country in the world.

No it’s not
What are things that can't be put on hold that we can joke about being put on hold on Monday out of respect? Need to go to the gym so can't think. Things like child birth, people dying, pooing and such. Rivers being stopped. Mountains being reduced to half the height. Ideas please.
Or within the last three days, as any normal person would say.

Pooing, nobody allowed on the throne as a mark of respect
They’ll be suspending the internet next so everyone has to watch the funeral on the BBC.
How about things that people hate or are bad, will they be put on hold or is it just things we rely on, make us happy, or need to be able to live?

Anyone been to an RSL club in Australia?
Halfway through the evening, you're expected to listen to a piece of poetry in absolute silence.
You can't take a swig of the drink you've legally bought or play the fruit machine you've just put some of your hard earned cash into.
Highly offensive to any German, Turkish or Japanese patrons in there at the time.
Madness.
