I just loved Dennis Irwin. I would take him ahead of Evra, I would take him ahead of Ashley Cole. Not a consistent 7 out of 10 player, but a consistent 8 out of 10 player at least. And he could take good free kicks before Becks took over.
Also McManaman - incredible career at Real, I know that Fergie rated him when at Liverpool. But people seem to forget him

Jordan Henderson's best asset is running without the ball.

…in a local park, not playing football.
Sami Hyppia
Played in a strong era of the PL but saw Liverpool have the meanest defence in 99/00, 01/02. He was crucial to Houllier’s successful stint as manager.
Ray Parlour for me. Very talented player, but played with a load of world class stars. Think people see him as a bit of a workhorse, or even a headless chicken.
And that FA Cup final goal

Nicky Barmby
One of my favourite players growing up ….was great at spurs as a youngster but unfortunately got home sick for the north and left
Still think he looked his best at Tottenham as a kid but had a good career after and seems a forgotten player
DDG, Dalot, Shaw, Fred, McTom, VDB
David Platt. Excellent record for England and done well in Italy.

Shax
McT
Fred
All underrated imo

Agree on Fred and Shaw, who are hugely under-rated......
..... by idiots.
But they can, largely, be ignored.
McTominay, however, is just an unnecessary 'waste of space'.

Adriano. Guy had everything and one of the best shots I've ever seen. Could strike it well with both feet. Insane touch and skill and had pace and power.
His plight was a sad, sad affair. Many waste their talent but him falling into alcoholism after his father's death was just tragic.

Great shout. That destroyed him.
I don’t think he was underrated. Most recognised how amazing he was.
Pickford is a good keeper and I agree he has become underrated but Pope is a better keeper.
I'd actually go for Foden. I think he's understanding and doesn't get the credit he deserves, apart from City fans of course. He's still got scope to get better further too.
Probably get pelters for this one from his own fans but McTominay, he seems to get a lot of stick from United fans but I think he's a really good player.
Outstanding* He's probably understanding too, that Icelandic girl apparently thought so.

I think it was Cordoba who once said to him (when he was not sleeping, getting hammered and still scoring goals)
"you are likea mixture of Ronaldo and Ibra, you do you realise you could be the best in the world?"
I've no doubt many know he was at a high level but I just don't think many understand just how insane he was, and how he could've been one of the best ever. He faded super young sadly. Most my age knew him cos he had 99 shot on pro evo 😂
Yeah but that’s more a case of unfulfilled potential than being underrated.
Shame how injuries ruined some players
Diaby was a great player to watch when fit

Lentini. Guy before his car crash would be stupid $ nowadays but I guess that's not your conventional football injury 😂
It's mad when u actually think about so many names that could've been legends but for injury, bad fortune or losing an interest in the game.
