I'm upset at the lack of apostrophe in the OP. Disgraceful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t think there should be one to be fair.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You saying multiple queens were buried or it wasn't the Queen's funeral?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If it was multiple queen's it would be "queens' funeral".
I don't think the queen would be impressed by the poor grammar.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When saying ‘multiple queens’, you shouldn’t use an apostrophe.
Bales was correct, although he doesn’t have an apostrophe in his name, so…
Looks like you all flunked apostrophe class.
Good article MU52. Respect is a rarity these days.
Lots of people simply don’t care. As far as I saw most of if not all the ‘joking’ was aimed at the monarchy in general or other people such as Andrew and Charles.
I had no issue with people queuing up as it didn’t really harm anyone and if people wanted to it’s up to them. Personally didn’t know a single person who did however and thought it was a bit weird, each to their own.
Let’s hope we can get back to some sort of normality now and the government and get back to doing their job (not that they do a good job of that). The state of this country is a mess and the past 10 days hasn’t really helped things.
When you look at some of the massive shets like Henry VIII known for all the wrong reasons, she'll be know for her good and will remembered for 100's of year to come.
You shouldn't have to have it explained how significant the last week was and why people queued for half a day to be part of that history. Some people have zero respect for anyone.
I'll admit to feeling a little bit of pride when Wales was called the 'most hostile' country when Charles was doing his tour of the countries of the UK.
Thought much of the country/world had moved on from mediaeval style worship of nonsense gods and people with hereditary titles but no, apparently not, very much clearly not.

She was respectful and friendly but achieved nothing. Henry VIII did a huge amount whether good or bad.
We except primary school children to be respectful ffs
Now the monarchy are nothing but show pieces who leech millions from the public through a massive estate that operates outside of the legislation everyone else in the country has to abide by

And if you really need a state funded friendly person to meet and great world leaders almost anyone who is not a complete arrris will be able to do the job. Some would happily do it for free but maybe be nice and offer them £40k a year so it at least seems like a real job...

A very valid point that illustrates bigger problems. I am sure the queen would not have wanted that fuss and nonsense? Partially the station for not wanting to be cancelled by 52 and the lines. But also the machine of the institution and the unseen sycophants who depend on the charade continuing.

All you're doing is demonstrating that you don't understand the value of monarchs, and the nuances of the power they hold. Both in real and intangible terms. Sending the Wetherspoons boss halfway around the world to convince a country to go to war with us or not isn't going to cut it. Similarly, the cult of personality at home isn't going away because you remove the figurehead. It'll just get replaced. Would you rather a nation gets their values from David Beckham or some buffoon like Boris Johnson?
The world is crappy and broken, we need better solutions. I'm just not convinced you're 40k a year person is it. And I don't think you are either.

Television networks stopping adverts as a mark of respect was a good one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A very valid point that illustrates bigger problems. I am sure the queen would not have wanted that fuss and nonsense? Partially the station for not wanting to be cancelled by 52 and the lines. But also the machine of the institution and the unseen sycophants who depend on the charade continuing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently the queen's funeral was played on all those Babestation channels, really hope that's true
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No that was the Queen's Fun Anal...

----------------------------------------------------------------------
She was respectful and friendly but achieved nothing. Henry VIII did a huge amount whether good or bad.
We except primary school children to be respectful ffs
Now the monarchy are nothing but show pieces who leech millions from the public through a massive estate that operates outside of the legislation everyone else in the country has to abide by
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Saying she did nothing, is simply not true.
Henry VIII actually bankrupted the country and changed a whole form of religion so he could divorce his wife, even Prince Andrew is a saint compared to him!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's what I'm saying though, he did a lot.
What's the point of the royal family now? Good or bad they're just a burden.
And if you really need a state funded friendly person to meet and great world leaders almost anyone who is not a complete arrris will be able to do the job. Some would happily do it for free but maybe be nice and offer them £40k a year so it at least seems like a real job...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All you're doing is demonstrating that you don't understand the value of monarchs, and the nuances of the power they hold.
