Guillem Balague who is a close follower of Spanish football says today he thinks Lopetegui will take a break from football after leaving Seville.
Who knows what’s going on if there’s truth in that
Ballague broke the Lopetegui Fosun story back in 2016 so good chance he knows what he's talking about. Would make sense and as mentioned yesterday I would be a bit concerned if he were to jump straight out of that sacking in to a situation where he's going to be under pressure to get results from day one.
A decent ITK seems to think it is as good as done for Lopetegui
So how do we pronounce Lopetegui
I'd still prefer Svenson from Mainz, looks like he knows what he's doing with regards to attacking play, much as I hate to agree with Wolfie maybe we should look further afield than the Mendes stable
I think the club are looking outside the Mendes stable, hence the rumours that Svensson is a possible target. Lopetegui has been a target for a long time for them though, so it would make sense for him to be the preferred candidate regardless of Mendes. I think he would be a good appointment personally.
I don't have a problem with the Mendes links. I think we have got some players we would never have got otherwise. I think we should always be looking outside of that also, but it is a good thing to be able to take advantage of when the time is right.

Lo-pet-e-ghee i think
I’d better get some practice in.
@Wolves star @pedrolneto7 will miss the World Cup and is expected to be out for several months. The 22-year-old forward damaged ankle ligaments during last week's 2-0 defeat at West Ham. Wolves are set to confirm this sad news in full shortly

I might be wrong, but I believe we're the only club that has relied on getting so many players from a single agent.
Fosun were very new to this league and English football in general and we have recruited many good players. However, we'll never know if we could have attracted even better ones from a country other than Portugal had Mendes not been involved from the start.
I'm still not convinced that having so many players from one country has been that beneficial to us and I'll include managers/coaches in that scenario too.
To me, it's getting all too clickey in the dressing room.
I think the over reliance is tricky to gauge really.
No doubt we pick up some quality we would have no business getting without Mendes and his links but i do question sometimes whether we also turn to him in times of need for lesser lights as well with varying degrees of success.
That said, how many actual Mendes players do we have? It may not be as many as we think but that isn't to say Mendes doesn't get help from other agents for some players that aren't actually his.
Just took a look after posting that. Gestifute clients are.....

Yeah, so virtually all of our best players
Don't forget all those who have left. That's about 5/6 more, plus managers.
