wingman, think it's for a couple of weeks, but I agree with you, no place for it in sport
wingman, this from Sky Sports..................
Premier League club captains decided ahead of the start of the season to select significant moments to make the gesture, after it became a common sight at matches following the death while under police arrest of black man George Floyd in the United States in 2020.
Other occasions selected for players to take a knee include the Boxing Day round of matches - which will mark the return of the Premier League after the World Cup - future No Room For Racism campaign weeks, the final day of the season and the FA Cup and Carabao Cup finals.
Other messaging in support of the campaign will be displayed around Premier League stadia.
What minute will Zaha win a penalty do we think? Palace only won once this season, need to beating these lesser sides unless we wanna just make up the numbers in this league. Think we'll get edged out 2-1 but why cant we just have a comfortable drama less 2 nil away win π
easy 0-2 win...c'mon lads

Palace had a fairly tough run of fixtures to start the season. So their place in the league table reflects that. Calling them a lesser side is inviting a thumping. Think this will be a tough match for us.

This… and they’ve generally been competitive in those tough fixtures. They’re a decent side and whilst 3 points would be lovely a point here is a good result.
Not very optimistic unfortunately as others have said Palace are formidable opponents on their own patch and were very unlucky to lose last week.
I expect a backs to the wall job for us hoping to nick a break away goal and hang on.
It's not impossible but we will have to play our absolute best to get anything and I feel a defeat for us is the likely outcome but I obviously pray that I'm wrong and we can enjoy a rare victory in the capital.
Bloody hell, it seem's most of our own see us losing most week's!..
Why don't we just drop a league and rebuild?..
Will be a bonus if Bamford starts, but without Sinistera, who looks our only threat at the minute, not sure where goals with come from, Palace will wait for right time to counter and Zaha will run past our full back, whether it’s Firpo or the Danish lad
Reading that Marsch is bigging up Cry and it looks like he will start, Harrison will at least be on his better side.
Barely into October and The Mirror's 'reporting' we've agreed personal terms with Cody Gakpo. And now working on transfer fee for January window. Yay.
Lovely as that is (and I'd be well happy if it were
true), can the lazy journos give us a bit of a break?
Please.
Also, I agree, if Zaha was running at/past Firpo, it'll make for a disaster of a game. But, he'll be on the left facing Raz. Could still be rough. But not as bad as seeing him torching Firpo.
Chelsea shows what happens when we’re on our game. Man City first half shows what happens when Palace are in their game. Player know what they have to do to win, and above all to avoid the catastrophe of the last game on the road.
Morning allπ. Right, it’s a 1-3 for me … Paddy brace and Jack with a left-foot screamer curling around a full-stretched keeper to nestle in the top of the net!
Interesting one, this. Palace have not been the same since Gallagher left. They just can’t score. They have one win to their name, against Villa, and some creditable draws.
Despite carrying a real offensive threat, they do not hold on to a lead and if we can find some cohesion up front, as we showed in the first half hour against Villa, I think we can get something out of this.
This game will be more open than last season. Palace could struggle against our press. Aaronson and Harrison are due a return to form. If Bamford and Rod can work together, the Palace defence will be tested.
The big question is whether the left side of our defence will hold out against Eze or Edouard. Firpo is still a worry for me and I can’t see us keeping a clean sheet. Zaha will also threaten, but I think we carry just enough firepower to outscore Palace in this one. Aaronson and Bamford, 2-1 to the mighty Whites.
Good to see people on here paying respects to the threat posed by Palace - they're at home, Zaha is always a handful and Vieira is a great coach. They have played more of the top PL sides than we have and have not been humiliated.
BUT
Our defence and midfield held out last week to keep a clean sheet for a long period of time, Bamford should be back leading the attack, and we have some very exciting prospects breaking through.
This should be another good test for us. Staying positive, I'm anticipating a strong performance, three points and a clean sheet...but I would be happy for us to come away with a point!
COME ON LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS UNITED!
Keep our composure and at least make palace beat us don't beat ourselves.
Well miss sinisterra but bamford starting and jack back on the left should give us some chances. Can't wait until some of our impressive young strikers are prem ready.
Going for a tough 1-2 victory. Just hope the ref is fair because he really wasn't last week.
