I sincerely doubts klopps system depends on Thiago running forward at ben white, then not actually applying any pressure. VVD not applying any presure to saka, henderson allowing odengaard run off him and ball watch and then trent to fall over his own feet not knowing which of the players running at time to go with.

thats minute 1 with 4 separate players just plain not doing the job. I sincerely doubt that's how klopp and his team sent those players out to play.

Gomez at RB and Konate at CB improves us. No more weak link Trent. Instead you will see out and out pace youth and power to play fire with fire.

Tsimikas has not really taken the Robbo injury opportunity. Will be good to have Robbo back.

Midfield is still the problem. Its old and tired. We probably do need Keita so we can play 4-3-3. 4-2-4 is not sustainable.

Up front this decision to have Salah played wide wide right needs to be binned. We need him in the box.

it took Fabinho putting in a great performance in midfield for Klopp to realise that he should play defenders in the backline and midfielders in midfield.

I actually thought we looked better v Arsenal and were decent in patches.

If we play like that the rest of the season then we'll finish top 4 I would think, but it's a tad frustrating we're playing City Sunday as we could have done with a confidence booster to follow up the Arsenal performance.

This season we only play well when teams stop playing with aggression against us. It's not a good thing at all.

Not sure about finishing top 4 atm but I also agree that we were better than Arsenal in forst half. I think k we had over 60 percent possession i could be wrong. I reiterate that yes we have an ageing team bit thay team ayed 3 games in 8 days we're as arsebal managed to rest most of their players so no wonder we struggled at latter stage of second half.

Getting trent out is good tbh as klopp was being stubborn and just mot dropping him. Gomez matip konate and robbo should be played imo. Virgil also needs taken out

Pressing starts upfront and in midfield. You can have all the best defenders in the world but If the press is beaten you get outnumbered.

Mane, Gini, Firmino, Henderson, Robbo were our core pressing players. They won the ball higher up the pitch which made it easier for our defence.

Losing those players because they have left or became older is the reason for our defensive shambles.

We need two midfielders who can offer us the workrate we have lost with Gini and Hendo.

At least your best player by an absolute mile at the minute didn’t get injured at the weekend, oh wait

I absolutely abhor the current trend to use the non-existent word “normalcy” in the media.

Peopel need to just clam down a bit and accept whats reality.

theres a game every 3 or 4 days here. theres also a world blood cup in 6 weeks.

REALITY.

there's a window to work with quite a lot of players who are not getting on a plane to that sports washing travesty coming up be we actually need to get behind our totally underpreforming team and try alieivate a bit of pressure til that world up.

all we can do is get through the CL group any way we can and collect what points we can in the league to have a view towards getting to 70 somehow in the new year.

We can drill players udring the sports washing but the reality is when you see players like thaigo run one way and jog the other and you see a back line thats more like a zig zag of random positions then you know you need work.

theres no point whinging about it. the damage is done now and we have to get on with fixing it.

Ps I see matip had git his customary Injury. Means gomes should be out soon as well.
