For what's it worth, GB - I still had the inkling Liverpool will finish strongly and in the top 2, few days ago - If Liverpool lose one more game and the top 3 win, then sorry that would mean Liverpool will be playing for 4th, and maybe 3rd

I'd take competing for 3rd right now.

6 points off 4th. 10 points off city after beating them. We can only try to improve from here.

Our next 9 games only have spurs i nthe middle as a super league traitor club and rival. the rest are games we'd have had to have won last season.

GB always makes me laugh when says Liverpool are going to win three on the bounce. Like none of the teams above them are not going to do the same.

They are still 10 points behind Spurs, and Spurs have had a harder fixture list.

Lots of the clubs above Liverpool also have a game in hand. You will lose st Spurs, so they will probably be even further in front. One lucky win over City, hasn't changed your season.

Utd also play chelsea, brighton just drew last night and are away to city at the weekend so its indisputable that if we win tonight and at the weekend we will have cut the gap to at least a few of the teams above us.
