So, here we go again, another crazy spin on the emotional rollercoaster - I'm old enough to know better but it sucks me in every time. Never mind, onwards and upwards.
Marsch has got to get selection/subs right this week. Gotta start with Bamford up top, Struijk and Harrison on the left, and Cooper at the back. It irritates the hell out of me that he didn't take responsibility for Thursday.
A strong performance, three points, and a clean sheet today please - it's NOT too much to ask!
C'MON LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS UNITED!
Might as well start Mateo, Perkins, Joffy or Gnonto up front they can't be any worse than Bamford or Rodrigo
I'd give Sini a free role and let Harrison play on the left his best position. Sini is about the only player who can make some magic happen.
Please never play Firpo again. Id also be happy to see Ayling back at RB although RK isn't too bad.
I would start with Rodrigo, Cooper and Harrison, with Bamford and Gelhardt up sleeve if needed.
I'm not Struijk's biggest fan, but it speaks volumes when a CB is better at LB than the LB.
When stats are mentioned Leeds always come a cropper, remember, if a team is top at Christmas they always get promoted....last week it was Arsenal won 4 in a row v Leeds never won 5 in a row, now hearing how Fulham haven't beaten Leeds in so long etc...you just know what will happen.
But, superstitions aside, everyone knows what is needed, we have a home advantage, very few injuries and must get at least a point and even that might not be enough to settle unrest, especially, with other relevant fixtures today, we fall into bottom 3.
Goals pay the rent and Rodrigo needs to do his share
Please not the same team selection as Thursday - especially the 'Bambi on Ice' duo.
And if you are going to bring on one of the striker youngsters, give them a chance as 5 or 10 minutes only is a waste of time.

"Goals pay the rent" A wonderful quote from David Coleman, the best football commentator ever (for me)!

Have Faith called this out from day one. Not using
the wide areas to our advantage, and waiting for the
opposition to have the ball to initiate our plans,
is a very flawed tactical approach. It's showing now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s just never made sense to me. Least of all because we still have so many players that seem much better suited to exploiting space. Even Aaronson who is supposedly a Marsch player is so much better when the game is stretched.
Players like Harrison, Summerville, Sinisterra, Bamford, Aaronson, Klich all look better when the opposition is stretched and there’s space in the channels. It’s madness to restrict ourselves a choice.
I saw a stat that was something like ‘of the 21 gold scored under Marsch, 19 involved a move of 2 or fewer passes!’ We May have scored since then. But that’s crazy. Genuinely mad. And it means that all sides have to do is boot the ball into our half. Because we clearly don’t train to create space/chances from there.
I actually think the signings have been pretty successful and a it’s a good start across the 5. But the manager is letting everyone down.
If we don't win today, I can see JM getting the boot. Not what I want, I think he should be given more time. But calling it out.
Come on Leeds , really need the 3 points today! If we dont, we have to accept we are solid relegation candidates.
Gonna be a bit wet and wild out there today. Weather is horrible, heavy rain.
Corberan off to west brom apparently
Kinnear is living in fantasy land:
https://www.leedsunited.com/news/team-news/30540/fulham-angus-kinnear-online-programme-notes
“ After one of our best Premier League performances since promotion failed to yield at least the minimum point we deserved”
It’s as if Bielsa didn’t exist or maybe Kinnear didn’t see us beat Man City with only 10 men etc
Who thought letting Kinnear write the programme notes was a good idea? More sh 1 te than a field full of cows.
Hoping several brought their shooting boots today.
Win gets Marsch ten more games. One point gets
him a couple more games. A loss and it should be
adios.
we should remember that the false dawns and depressing defeats have been outnumbered by redeeming performances and inspiring victories. Whilst nobody can hide from the fact that our winless run is certainly troubling, there have been enough moments of quality from a team whose commitment can never be doubted
What a load of!!!
No Adams. Must be injured. Ayling starts
All change:
Llorente out
Rasmus out
Adams out
Firpo out
Bamford out
Summerville out
Ayling, Cooper, Struijk, Harrison, Rodrigo and Greenwood in.
Well Marsch said Summerville had good game, drops him. 2 of his summer signings dropped but not Roca who gave away goal and gets subbed nearly every match.
World class left back drooped after half an appearance.
Reverting to old Bielsa players, another big throw of the dice.
Someone ask him why they haven't signed a left back in 2 windows or Bamford cover in 3.
Ayling in for Kristensen
Struijk in for Firpo
Cooper in for Llorente
Rodrigo in for Bamford
Greenwood in for absent Adams
Greenwood starting worries me.
Apart from that looks ok, hope Rodrigo is played as striker and not dropping into midfield
At least its attacking line up, but for all talk of stronger squad, we really don't have options from the bench, personally I'd have started with Klich partnering Roca ahead of Greenwood.
Well, the knee jerk line up happened.
This has to be tongue in cheek, right:
"World class left back drooped after half an appearance."
Not that it's the greatest source of information but,
BBC showing Marsch is setting us up 4-1-4-1 with
Rodrigo as the CF.
Have a feeling Gyabi might get on today as a sub.
