I reckon the bit whare the player 'could be interested' is made up drivel!
Just my opinion but this one is as laughable as Lionel Messi asking to be loaned to Dagenham and Redbridge for development!
it does meet one test of credibility. Whenever a player is one I see as being someone with future potential, a player who might develop into one capable of holding down a place at a higher level (like Delph even when he was still in the reserves) we usually sell them quick to stop any dreaming on my part
I have posted before White could be developed into a fast attacking full back like Cooper of old.
so he's on his way, clearly
I don't think there is anything in this story.
But if Leeds say things like 'we need to fix our defence', 'we need to ship players out before we can bring more in' it is going to invite speculation and interest.
Its complete bull.

I said 3 years ago White should be groomed for left back, should have extra training on defending.
I see him going alot further at fullback, then been on the wing, where am not sure he's the ability to make a prem league player but I certainly do if given a long run at full back.
What annoys me is that alot of people have said white cant defend.
Rubbish and was based on one game at Millwall where he got turned over. Strangely as this game wasnt on telly and only 2000 leeds fans went, most based their opinion on a match report.
Let the guy develop at full back and see how good he becomes.
Made a big error bringing carthorses on loan like Mccartney last season at a massive cost, when white should have been allowed to develop.
No wonder bates has said no more

players like are always going to be linked with moves, i would see derby as a step down for him, so i doubt there is anyhing in this, he is going to be a top player in my opinion, been outstanding so far.
liw
i have always said he looked qualitiy the little game time he had played in the past, his pace and determination looked miles bad better than the aforementioned carthorse, will be a real asset and he can defend well.
He is best left back we have had for a while, but still relies on his pace too often to get him out of jail by that I mean that he gets out of position too easily I think he's thinking he will have the pace to cover if necessary.
This out of position issue has been evident on the left for a while now.
It always points back to the strategy/coaching being used.
Was as much Lucas fault at Millwall.
Eddie gray said on saturday phone in that he thought he would be a better left back than midfield player.
Ashley Cole uses his pace to cover himself all the time, not saying they are in the same league....yet, white will get better at defending with experiance.
I enjoy these pages, it's great to see that when the club don't say something it's wrong and when they do say something it's wrong!
IMO there's one (or two) on here that may never be happy?
forever, completely agree, just sharing my observation on what is a current achilles heel for White.
In the same paper Derby are also said to be interested in Dan Gosling, presently at Newcastle and previously a hope at Everton after a move from Plymouth.
So Derby seem to be casting around for a left-sided player and chucking stuff out in the hope someone shows some interrest.
But why move to Derby - they have no more chance of going up this season than Leeds [some chance but no more than a little]. I could understand it a little if it was a PL club.

White will be at Leeds for a long time
So Grayson couldn't risk him, and we sent him on loan. He's come bakc bigger, stronger, faster and his body can cope.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Couldnt risk it but sent him on loan where we wouldnt have control over him, thats even risker.
I understand about the cramps and that but I think it could and should have been done differently
White's cramps were different to Murrays.
Murray has a variety of issues that stem from his bone development, espeically his knees and back.
White's cramps were said to be nervous cramps, something that is almost unheard of but when it does strike normally affects the gut not the legs.
I'm not sure I ever saw White suffer cramps in a match.
Anyway, whatever it was that seemed to limit White's ability in Grayson't mind appears to be in the past and I hope he continues to get mroe match time and keep on improving.

It seems to me that grayson has almost been forced into playing white at full back

I completely agree LIW.
Grayson brought O'Dea in for Left Back.
It was only when O'Brien had a shocker that White got a chance.
I also know that about 6 weeks ago the club were contacting agents specifically looking for a left back.

I agree with players going out on loan to get experience but it defeats the object when we bring players in to gain experience for other teams !!!!!!!!!!!
LIW, especially when our players have been patiently waiting for their chance.
Jonty
The thing is everyone says these players need to go out on loan to get experience.
but strangely they hit it off straight away when going out on loan which indicates they were already good enough
What we need to do is stop bringing in 2nd rate loan players and giving our players a chance
Completely agree, need to have some faith in our existing players.
The young ones will make some mistakes along the way, but that will only make them better.
It will also help them knowing the manager has confidence in them.
LIW/Jonty agree about the playing our kids and giving them a chance and staying away from some of the bad loans-in we've experienced.
Elmo I agree with you on the cramps subject, because the first time this was mentioned was with Gerrard when he was breaking through. Anfield sent him to specialists because he was always breaking down and it was discovered that his development was being speeded up due to the work he was putting in. The term growing pains has always been around, but some young athletes need to be held back and developed in conjunction with their body growth
It most hit morale, when players see wasters like mccartney, strolling in on 20k and not giving a s h it
