Pointless backing Conte and not giving him at least another window or two. Sure the football suvks at times but his objective was to make spurs hard to beat. With what he has, I can't name a manager that would come in and work miracles immediately.
I rated Potch more I admit that, in terms of the quality of football, but he had way more talent in the middle of the park. Spurs need more investment and starting from scratch again is too expensive nowadays. No chance Levy fires him before the end of the season unless spurs drop out the top 6.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Correct. He needs at least another two windows. New goalie, two CBs, attacking midfielder for starters.

There are a couple of things I like to add...
Sanchez, Emerson, Dier, Davies, Doherty should have been gone by now. Why are they still lingering?
I like Conte's passion since the early Chelsea days - but after going 2 goals down - then Spurs managed to pull one up, but what did he do to try and catch up and equalize? he bought on Davies, Dohroty and Perisic.
With your current squad you should play a offensive 4-3-3 formation or a 4-2-3-1
I can't name a manager that would come in and work miracles immediately.

Replacing Lloris has to be on the horizon given he’s 35, but we have absolute dross like Emerson and Sanchez who need moving on immediately
This 3-5-2 with Sanchez in place of Romero was a BIG mistake on Conte's part.
There are two ways of looking at the whole Poch thing. I've seen a lot of comments on here about him having better players but as far as I'm concerned a lot of those players were already at the club before he joined. They weren't pulling up any trees before he turned up and suddenly, as if by magic, they turned into a brilliant set of players. Funny that. Did he just stumble on a set of great players playing in their prime or did he get the very best out of those players on the training pitch? I know which one I believe. In short, if he had better players, he made them that way.
It's weird how people forget that. I'm genuinely surprised by the lukewarm response his proposed appointment has been received. I expect it of Sandy. He was calling for Poch's head pretty much at the point we got to the CL final, yet apparently we're the impatient moaners.
Oh, and Sandy, no of course I don't fancy him, despite those dreamy eyes and those flowing locks. I just understand football, fella. You should try it sometime.

Nothing is turning sour, this is still the start of Conte`s rebuild, you can`t get all the players you need in one window. Most fans realize where we are at and that patience is needed, there will be ups and downs and this part of the season is an odd one with 3 games every week.

The last season and CL Final were horrific under Poch but I’d say this is as bad.
We had much better players then though, especially in midfield.
Finishing 4th, 5th or 6th makes no difference really. We’re not in the CL to win it and we don’t invest the money in higher level players.
All our signings were pretty standard, easy signings. Nobody we went out and worked/ paid top dollar for/ made a statement to get.
We are in stasis as a club but it suits Levy. He doesn’t care if we win anything.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How is it that bad?
The hysterics currently are ridiculous. We are third (with bad injury problems) averaging just under 2 points a game, top of our CL group. Its just the football is boring.
Under Poch at the end it was so much work, so so so so much worse.

Nah, I don't subscribe to that belief. If the players are disengaged, that's down to the manager. You can have one or two dissenting voices in a dressing room. That's normal particularly when players are left out but when an entire team either drops their effort, or, more likely, are confused and playing with fear, that falls on the manager. It's up to him to get lift their confidence.
The reason why I I think Conte and Jose are similar is that they both have a no surrender policy on defensive stability. That's all well and good but you can become so obsessed by it, so strict, so inflexible that you turn off players' bravery. If your manager wants you to remain solid you're less likely to vacate your position and you'll probably end up in a low block. Neither Conte nor Jose see the virtues in bravery or expression so you start to see it less and less. The through ball might be on but I'd better play it square to avoid losing it. I could go past my man but my manager will hate me losing it so I'll just hand it back to my centre half. It's catching. Everyone starts doing it. Only headstrong characters like Eden Hazard, who basically won the title for Conte single handedly, dance to their own tune. Even now Conte doesn't like the guy as he doesn't like to train hard and isn't as much of a team player but christ, come on, the guy won you silverware. There's no respect for mavericks. Their football is dire and to be honest, like Jose, the results are no better. If you're going to play terrible football, the points per game have to go through the roof otherwise what's the point. Jose had a much lower ppg average than Poch, Conte's is similar but the football is terrible so what on earth are we doing? There's no improvement in results playing this way.
It's like being in a dead end relationship. He wants out, she wants out but you just keep it going with a dead-eyed stare, resenting each other. I don't know how anyone can believe this can improve. He lasts 2-3 years and his second season (this one) is usually his best before it drops off and people fall out.

No, you're not seeing the bigger picture. Results like today represent the results we should have had if it weren't for some good fortune in certain fixtures. In many of the games we've played this season where we've picked up three points, we've been outplayed. This isn't a bad week, it's a continuation of the kind of form we've shown all year. It's just that results are beginning to reflect that.
You can lean on the 2pts per game level we're hitting now but trust me, that will drop if we continue to play this way. Let's see at the end of the season but personally even though we're in there right now, I don't think we're getting anywhere near top four this year. Not even close. Would you want rid of Conte then?

Conte has achieved more in his career than Poch has. The football at the end of the Poch era is far more miserable than what we are watching currently.

It took five years for the project to tire owed to a lack of investment and fresh faces. This one is turning sour after less than one.

This one isn't turning sour though, its not been the best week - but we are on for one of our best ever starts (plus progressing in the CL). The football isn't pretty but get a hold of yourself ffs.
