Mooy should never play for Celtic again! Hopeless!
OReilly needs dropped for a while too
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Calm the fook down - who else is playing 6?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Abilldgard, Hatate and kyogo/haksabanovic for a while
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Right
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can’t say that’s any worse than Mooy and OReilly just now
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tell you what - it’s not happening outside a dead rubber or scheite cup tie or league game against minnows. MOR is a top game starter every time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If I’m being honest.. I can’t really remember the last time he impacted a game
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Right, how many have you had
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed. That’s mental! O’Riley’s been a star buy for us. Had very few poor games IMO.
I love BBJ, so deluded 😂😂

Yes, MOR is staying at least another season 👍
53% possession
15 shots
5 on target.

Beyond poor.
Think we also learned that starting GG and Kyogo is a non-starter, against half decent opposition anyway. Kyogo started wide right, where he was totally ineffective (big surprise, not) … then moved more up top with GG, which left us totally exposed in midfield numbers on the counter. Pretty basic stuff really. Penny should have dropped by now.
Even more frustrating than the first game against them where at least we created a good few chances.
Hatate. Just wtf?

Conversion rate has been awful.
Only disappointment from this campaign so far for me is for the players and Postecoglu. Believe they deserved better results than they’ve had for the way they’ve played.
Don’t think there was much we could have done defensively for the goal we conceded-problem was further up the park when we gave it away. Superb finish.
Thought most of the team played well. Abada was probably the poorest on the night. Hatate should have been subbed earlier. Maeda just lacks any real quality. Kyogo flitted in and out too much for me-should have buried that chance he had.
First season back for us in the CL, and we’ve got a fair bit of learning to do. I’ll take the results this season as long as we do learn and do improve.
I really like ange and i think he's a good fit for our club but as far as game management goes he's very poor.
1-0 and leaving full back totally isolated when we have a corner, just madness with that kid they have playing for them.
It's either arrogant, stupid, or naive. But if he didnt watch the goals we lost in other games and try and resolve it then i'm afraid its just poor management.
Juranovic has been poor this campaign btw
The experience can only help, POV, but improve? Only a quantum improvement will be enough and that can't happen unless we start qualifying every year and using that revenue to achieve that step up in player quality.
Maeda & Mooy aint cutting it.
Taylor for all his improvement is still not cutting it.
The gaggle of midgets is not cutting it.
Abada & MOR could potentially move for 8 figure sums and they still aint really cutting it.
Our replacements will largely be in the £2.5-5m range yet Kyogo, Bernabei, GG, Abada, Starfelt, Juranovic aint really cutting it
CCV & Jota are probably at the level along with Calmac & Hart? MOR & Hatate can probably get there? Even with successive qualifications we can't afford a team in the £5-8m range far less their salaries.
We might get lucky one or two years but that's it. We can't get better playing the dross in Scotland. We need out.
IMHO of course.
I thought taylor was one of our best tonight.
Maedas not cut out for that level, thought mooy was decent. Abada was shocking.
We're never going to win when we give quality players that much space to hurt us. We had a midfield 3 of kyogo, hatate, and oriley. No balance there.
Prior to the campaign i said teams would do what leverkusen do, high balls to the exposed wings to rapid players.
Ange is either blind or ignoring this problem and until he addresses it we have no chance in europe.
Probably depends on what your targets are Silver. We’re never going to win the CL. Making the semi is a pipe dream too if we’re being honest. Quarters is a real stretch-is the last 16 even achievable now?
Our improvement-if we have any-will more than likely be incremental. Our players and squad will always be flawed, as will our management team. We’ve got to have something to build on-think there’s something there to work with.
Can expectations in Scotland are beyond ridiculous.
Pretty much every other club we will face to this level don’t have the insane pressure to face week in week out where even an away draw is some mini disaster.
How can any club change game plan philosophies to up as improvement to this CL level when the standard of opposition is so poor or at best “gets in our faces” and “intae us”? Ask any OF supporter what he wants from the season and it’s always the same “Win the league, maybe a cup of two. Oh aye, and don’t get embarrassed in Europe”.
We don’t have the basic infrastructure at grass roots level that you see in pretty much every single country you care to visit in Europe at even very local levels.
Then there’s the consistency of this level of income which we haven’t been able to access for years.
For me, Postecoglou is a breath of fresh air. The football is enjoyable to watch and that’s what I pay for. We are winning trophies and we aren’t being embarrassed in Europe. We will continue to learn hopefully and get some continued access to this competition.
Players have off nights (Maeda far too many). We were missing our two best players. This revisionism now of how sheite our players are and how naive our manager is, is astounding. If they were that step better they wouldn’t be here.
I’ll enjoy them while I can because pretty soon a few of them could easily head to pastures new and then what? And that includes the manager.

Looking forward to seeing Jota back in the team
i think we need to kerb our expectations at this level, the fans were a disgrace last night, spitting venom at every player.
must be torture playing in front of our support, spoilt brats.
as i've said above, i love ange he's a great guy but he's not a great manager, his game management is pretty much non existent.
we've been cut open with the same counter attacking goals umpteen times in europe and he refuses to address it, so we won't improve.
if players are expected to improve at that level through experience then so should managers.
while i think our fans have unrealistic ambitions sometimes, i don't think it's out of the realms of possibility to beat donetsk at home.
finally, i'd bench juranovic.
Taylor for all his improvement is still not cutting it.
absolutely disagree with this, he's comfortably been our best performer
taylor was probably our best player last night.
he roams too far though, but he's allowed to, absolutely no discipline about us.
Well for me, I’m just going to visit Livingston on Sunday with a fair degree of really looking forward to what used to be a football graveyard for us.
I’m certain there will be a number of “ffs”’s being uttered by me, but this standard of football we are playing overrides any of that. It’s enjoyable again.
Taylor has been brilliant, easily our best player last night again. And Hes playing the role Ange wants him to play.

Honestly mate I genuinely don’t get why you expect our manager to be getting all this learning from.
He came to our club last season and inherited a basket case of a squad that was not only short on talent but bereft of any belief. He came from the backwaters (to all of us anyway) of the Australian and Japanese leagues.
It’s incredible what he’s done, and he’s settled into the madness of the Scottish goldfish bowl and managed it all with a fair degree of panache and humour.
He won his first available trophy and then went on to win the league with a bit of style. He’s got the measure of our rivals and beats them with so far regular ease. He’s brought in quality players who entertain.
Sure he’s had a couple of massive wobblies in the league by making too many changes at once, but he has to find out the quality in depth. He promised a brand of attacking football and that is what we see.
This is his first ever venture into CL group territory so to me he’s allowed to make mistakes and as you say hopefully learn. But to expect him to change game plan with what staff he has part ways through a 6 game mini competition against Europe’s elite is unrealistic.
I left last night frustrated we didn’t beat them. I also did that over in Warsaw. Score some of our chances and we could have been talking at a completely different level. We’re those missed chances and lapses of concentration down to the game plan? I don’t think so.
It’s not that long ago we suffered real humiliation under Rodgers to the point I just didn’t want to go to those games.
Now and as I said, I look forward to it again. He will learn more for sure. But that comes with experience. But when he does, he’ll be off.
