Interestingly Morelos has the best goals-per-minute in the league just now. Tbh we're unlikely to get anyone who wants to pay money for him in January so as well hanging onto him. If we're lucky some lower EPL or championship team might give us a few million for Kent, which would be a few million more than he's worth going back performances over the last year or so. No one in their right minds would take on Roofe's medical bills so we'll probably find a desperate taker from low down the English championship. Kamara is the forgotten man, for us and probably any potential suitors too. Before we do any squad building though we need to actually identify a serviceable tactical style beyond just hoofing crosses into the box and hoping for the best. If Gio can't find that tactical style - and it sounds like he's not even interested in trying - then we need to move him on and bring in someone who can.

Three issues with your point #4.
1) Think only Kamara will have much value and even then for a guy that can't get much of a start for the current 'shambles'...? Kent and Morelos will hold out until the summer for their personal gain of a signing on fee else any deal in January will be decimated by their demands to get what they'll miss out on in 5 months. Think you'd need to pay Roofe to GTF?
2) I keep hearing a RW is priority so where does that fit? And why would a LW want to come to play 2nd fiddle to Kent who starts every week?
3) Whilst you need a CB NOW, I am not so sure it is a waste of time longer term if players come back fit - lot of money spent on Davies, wages for Souttar..?
You've got to hope Souttar is on a pretty paltry basic salary because shelling out any kind of regular money on someone who has spent so much time out with serious and recurring injuries is just insane.

The longer you keep your garbage in the house, the more it stinks the place out.
Maybe Rangers will just offer them new contracts

I can see that angle too but surely in the case of someone like that you try to weight the contract as much towards performance-related pay as possible. As far as I understand it we didn't have much competition for his signature either.
Kent is such a waste of space, honestly. He could have kicked on and become a real good player but he's gone so far backwards since our title-winning season. And in his case he doesn't have injury or time out the team to blame for it either, it's just pure unadulterated pishness.

1) Gers have 2 decent centre-backs...Goldson and Davies, both currently injured. Helander and Souttar are both injury-prone - we need centre-back/s now
2) A LW would replace Kent immediately
3) Sakala, Matondo, Tillman, Arfield et al have all been tried as RW with limited success so I suspect that's yet another problem for June

He's a bit of a Lassana Coulibaly. Clearly got talent, but we'd never have got a decent option to buy on him if there weren't doubts around his ability to make it to the top. In Coulibaly's case the club decided he wasn't worth exercising the option on, Tillman could go either way at this point.

There has to come a point where you seriously question the medical advice the club is getting.
Roofe has just come off the back of an extended treatment and rehab programme to get him pain free once and for all - and he lasts for about ten minutes.
Souttar should never have been touched. Its sheer stupidity or arrogance that makes you think a solid history of almost uninterrupted serious injuries will come to a shuddering halt just because he signed for Rangers.
I dont even think Souttar is good enough to play for us never mind his fitness issues.
Kent and Morelos should have been sat down at the start of the season and given a straight choice - sign a contract or the club cuts their losses and offers both of them for sale for £3m each.
They are both a total waste of time and nothing more than a distraction right now.
Lord knows where saturdays performance came from but it shows the players we do have can still be decent. If we get to the next OF game just 4 points behind celtic then I think that game will determine what happens next.
If we win it Gio stays. If we lose then that would be time to go for me.

This is a trap.
He wants Celtic to throw the game.
We won't be winning the league with this squad and manager but realistically the decision to keep him at least until next year has been made.
Lets hope he can turn it around and make solid plans for if he cannot so we are ready to go and win the league next season with reshaping the squad for next season being a priority. I wouldn't allow Gio to sign in January unless we win every game until then including Ajax.
Club should be making plans for the future so would still expect some movement on players then.
Kamara we would be lucky to get 3/4m for.
I wouldn't sell. A certain starter for me if i picked the team. He's been injured a fair bit this season but he's been a very good player for us, especially under Gerrard. Gio doesn't like him but he thinks Matondo is a player.
Tillman is annoying because he looks like he doesn't give a fook sometimes and lead boots other times, all that said he's got undoubted class. I would not pay 7m euro for him which is the buy out.
If Bayer would take half then i would be tempted.
I really like Tillman - he's a proper player, he really has something. But playing under a limited manager, and out of position, is killing his game....IMHO
