Well, despite a fair amount of negative comments, that wasn’t a bad performance. Difficult to pick out anybody who was really below par. KDH gave it away a few times when he should have laid it off quicker, but his pass to Barnes in the build up to the first goal was sublime. Amartey was excellent alongside the impeccable Faes. Maddison and Tielemans first class; Ward getting better with every game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think KDH was very poor aside from the pass you mentioned. I think Castagne is a defensive worry and got caught on the ball a few times and Amartey is being made to look miles better than we know he really is alongside Faes. I could play next to Faes and look half decent
Great win, positive display, some exceptional performances, but definitely some below par ones as well. Let’s not forget how bad Everton are
Another dominant performance from Big D, he even make Faes look good....
Loved the panic on Wards face when Big Dan miscontrolled a simple pass back and then lost sight of where the ball went

Only Big D
I wouldn’t have thought Evans will just walk straight back in to be frank. Especially as Faes has taken on the organisational duties at the back. It’s really all about teamwork and there was a lot of that in evidence tonight. Amartey and Faes look like a good pairing; if might need a back five arrangement for Evans to get back in.
I think for us to keep 5 clean sheets from 7 with Ward, Timmo, Big D, JJ, and Sourmare in the team is nothing short of a miracle. Well done Brendan he should get a big pay rise and a contract extension just for this.

Well, let’s hope not.
Johnny Evans vs Danny Amartey? You really think there is a debate to be had there?!
No there’s not, Evans is past it, injury prone and comes back every time slower and worse tag before.
Daniel is the future!! 😉
Johnny Evans could be wheeled onto the pitch on a kidney dialysis machine and I’d still trust him to control a football over Daniel Amartey
Just been back though the match thread and picked up on the Tielemans chatter.
Think people have summed it up nicely but he’s back to his best in the last 6 games which is dictating play from a deeper position. He’s done this brilliantly in the past but anyone that argues he’s done it consistently is wrong. He was terrible for much of last season.
That said, huge credit to the way he’s performing for us right now. Of/when he leaves in the summer he’ll go with my respect if he continues this way. He’ll have basically kept us up alongside Faes and Maddison!

No one has made any kind of argument to say he was performing brilliantly at a consistent level over the last 2 seasons. What we’re saying is that the stats prove he’s been Leicesters most effective player at winning tackles, winning back possession and making successful passes over the entirety of this season.
So the stats are saying that he’s doing more than just dictating play. They’re saying he’s done this for longer than 6 games. Yet he’s still hung out to dry and the first player fans turn on when things aren’t going well.
I would also argue he wasn’t terrible for much of last season - he underperformed in an underperforming team and was given a different role at times.

Like Rodgers he likes playing the poorest Teams in the Table, Can’t wait to see the back of Tilly and Rodgers,
Shame Maddison will go As well, he’s the one keeping us up as well as the guy who must have laughed at Rodgers defensive coaching when he arrived.
What we can all agree on is he’s re-found his form and that’s something to enjoy.
We just need to get more creative in the final 3rd and we’ll have a good team again.
Is it just coincidence that our recent improvement in the defensive department coincides almost exactly to Evans un-availability 😉

Doesn’t really add up though does it? He scored the winner against Chelsea in the FA cup final. I remember him scoring a worldie against United, a super goal against Arsenal. He’s run the show against City where we beat them. Fans on these boards are making sloppy arguments without any back up and I’ll be honest it’s one of the most frustrating things about posting on here

What do you put that upturn in form down to Mersey bearing in mind he's been awful since the FA Cup and wasn't even anything special that Season, ok the odd goal and decent pass but partly because of the way Bodgers plays he's been anonymous.
So why the upturn in the last few matches
The Quality of the Opposition?
A desire to play for the Fans/
World Cup coming?
OR it's time to put himself in the shop window with the transfer window not far away, remember he didn't get that big move you suggested was coming for him, Wasn't it teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG were going to bite our hands off for him.

It’s a difficult one to call TB. For me he’s improved as the team has improved as a unit. Tielemans has never been a man to drive the game forward individually like someone like Gerrard used to, he needs the team to be set up to support him.
That’s why he’ll never been world class. He is elite though and what’s been clear recently is when the team are playing well around him he's absolute quality.
That and he seems to scoring a worldie every other game!!!
So I don’t think it’s anything sinister, I just think the team as a collective are helping him and it’s getting the best out of him.
Completely agree Mersey and that’s the kind of balanced thinking TB appears incapable of. When the team perform poorly, he suffers. He’s never been the world beater than can change an entire game that some Leicester fans feel he should be. When he doesn’t perform he gets singled out in a way no one would dare do to Vardy, it’s depressing and bonkers
Ah back to everyone else having to help
Tilly 😂😂😂
I think most would agree Tilly has been bang average since that FA Cup wonder goal. There was possibly too much expectation for him to produce world class football, he never was or even will be world class. But he's a talented footballer who for whatever reason has been under performing for months. He's currently playing at a level most expect of him and yes, TB, he probably shines less against the better teams as he's not at their level. Our team will find it almost impossible to be at that top level consistently due to finances and the way FFP favours the clubs that generate greater revenue. Maybe his improved form is linked to the better defence ? the Wout Faes influence (Amartey looks better next to Faes also), the Soumare effect as opposed to playing along side Wilf ? Whatever it is , Tilly is performing again, at last.
