People reading us blaming crowd for losing will think we are the most deluded fans in the world. We got humiliated tonight and that had nothing to do with the crowd.

This is in no way on the fans. They’re professionals paid to entertain. It’s not like they were booing ffs, that’s in Spain and Italy. They’re also fully correct in protesting fwiw.

It's not on the fans but they didn't exactly try and pick the players up after we went 1-0 down.

Sometimes the players need the fans to get going, just like the fans need the players to give them something to sing about.

Yes, but mostly no for me.

The crowd didn’t create individual errors. Professionally, I thought it was poor and lacking in concentration. I didn’t even like the line up.

Let’s see how they react. It’s an awful result, but they get a pass from me. They’ve been brilliant all season.

And Liverpool need a miracle that is for sure.

If any daft Liverpool fan thinks they lost due to a lack of flags waving in the Kop then they are deluded.

United would have done better tonight than Liverpool and you are never allowed to take a flag on a stick into Old Trafford.

Some on here are saying it didn’t help. It’s hardly controversial, and for some reason others are interpreting that as blaming the fans for the loss, which isn’t the case. It’s not my fault some can’t accept there can be a middle ground.

And if you rely on social media to back up your arguments, then that’s your problem.

Why?

The ground is usually hopping on a euro night when the players come out. It impacts both sets of players. We were shocking but needed the crowd. Jurgen has asked for this before hardly mind blowing

yeah good point

Look sometimes results like that "happen"?

If you'd have taken a chance or two it would.t have ended up like that but it did and you've gotta move past it with the league games, what happens in the second leg is up in the air and who knows but as a Pool fan you'd hope confidence isn't facked and you can move on from it?

Worse teams than us have stuck three past them this season. We’d do well to win it in 90 mins, but I wouldn’t discount ET just yet.

Pretty sure every game where a team makes a dramatic comeback from a first leg loss have been home in 2nd leg.

With our defence we will need to win 6-2 in Italy but scoring 6 means having forwards who can finish.

It’s Atalanta, not Barca. We’re a top five to seven world class team, at least on our day.

Look, it’s unlikely, but I’ve seen us do all sorts against the odds.
