Gakpo just doesn’t do nearly enough does he, very limited footballer. I’d probably leave him on though because even when he’s crap he’s a goal threat and we desperately need a goal, one might drop to him.

He has quite awful acceleration. I’m not sure what I’m missing but I’d rather Diaz central and Gakpo left, but we’ve seen that about once.

Can see we’re trying to overload Neco, that’s why Clarke pulls left, but I’d like to see Gakpo on him and Diaz trying to get in behind, which Gakpo simply can’t/doesn’t offer

I rarely if even single out players, but gakpo has rarely convinced me that he's got what it takes.

When salah plays poorly he still is a goal threat, the same could be said for Jota and Nunez, but gakpo is like a ghost

I wouldn’t move Diaz (who has been our only threat) to accommodate a poor Gakpo personally, but we’ve got to try a few things second half.

Really hoping Nunez makes the difference but he’s likely only 50%. Think we will get a chance if it stays at 0-0 but i fear we will be fvcked if we go 1 down so need to be somewhat cautios too.

But I think a new system will get far more from him.
