I never enjoy losing and in the great scheme of things it's not our main priority while we fight for Premier league survival but why did JM persist with Jack on the right?
It is bleedingly obvious JH struggles there and his face looked like he was not a happy bunny.
It's tactical decisions like this that makes fans seriously question Jesse Marsch's coaching abilities.
Hopefully Summerville Gnonto and Greenwood start against Spurs and Harrison's talents are not needed or wasted again.
Harrison can’t beat his meat. Better on the left where he can just cross the ball and keep it simple.
Given that we have one game left before a season break, I think it’s criminal to go out with that side. Not like the first time are on song - was expecting the defence to play given they’re all over the place. Ridiculous.
If it was a normal season and we have the usual fixture pile up leading to Christmas, I get it. But not this - fuming. Jesse clueless

Decent performance from a very youthful side. Zero sleep will be lost over the result, says it all about the season Wolves are having if they're elated over this.
Biggest takeaways for me, very pleased we didn't sign Chan nor Adama Traore - the latter just a muscular Dan James.
On to Saturday 👍
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A muscular Dan James. very good.
Cups don't mean anything anymore?
One game before a long break and we rest everyone. A lot of big teams out too.
I hope wolves go on to win it.
It's not about long term rest. If we'd played the first team and picked up some injuries the same people would be complaining that he risked them and didn't prioritise Spurs.
The first team players will have had a week to focus on the spurs game and priositise that. They don't lose prep time in recovery from tonights game. Those that are carrying niggles already get longer rehab. Those who can't remember who to mark in transition, get some extra practice and more videos to watch .
It's a business. PL survival is everything and if you look at the sides that get turned out... few clubs really give a sheet about the league cup.
I quite enjoyed the game. Interesting to see how the kids shaped up in man's football. Would like to have seen us win, but won't be losing sleep..
Hwang tries hard but he just isn't very good.
Forest, Wolves, Southampton and Bournemouth, all bottom 4 Premier league sides, through to the next round In the harsh winter months of January and February.
Extra games, potential injuries, suspensions, risk of fatigue even by just playing second string players OR Winning becomes a habit and breeds confidence???
Unfortunately each year more and more Premier League clubs are not treating this competition as an opportunity to win silverware but more like a testimonial/friendly affair to blood squad players while the bread and butter of the domestic league takes precedence.

Our players seem to be able to get injured in training as much as in actual games so I don't think playing one or two more first teamers would have made much difference to our preparation for spurs.
As we're not in Europe I would like to see the team put more emphasis on the cups we are in.
I agree with the point of the youth players playing and getting game time against pl opposition but just not as many.
My first game for 2 years, using the ticket of a season ticket holder friend who doesn't go to cup games. Living now in Stourbridge and traffic down to a crawl when driving in on the Penn Road I noticed a side road - named Wynn Street ! Thought to myself " that's a good omen ".
I’m not saying it’s necessarily the right thing to do, mont just explaining why they do it. It’s a shame how the cups have lost value.
You’re right that our players seem to pick up injuries tying shoelaces but studies show you’re far more likely to pick up an injury in a game than in training (proportionally at least… obviously they train more than they play competitively).
Have to say I am disappointed once again. I sit firmly in the camp of winning breeds confidence. Winning makes money. Winning lifts trophies.
Our record in this competition absolutely stinks. 2 quarter-finals since the year 2000 and defeats to doncaster, bradford, southend and tranmere.
Sick of putting out weak sides season in season out when its the one trophy we could possibly win. To be fair to the side tonight there was positives and I thought on the whole they played relatively well but beyond the first 5 minutes we never really created anything.
Personally felt this was an opportunity to go for it with the month break. How about we get to the last 16 and create a bit of excitement for the club away from the pressures of every point counts.
On a second note of disappointment it was again frustrating to see another goal scored in the same manner. A seemingly non-dangerous position turned into a cup exit by players being sucked towards the ball like magnets. We have a situation down our left where Firpo feels he needs to help 3 of his players win the ball versus 2 of theirs coming out of the back line. This means he has left an acre of space behind him. We do win the ball back but Greenwood quickly loses it. They have an easy ball down the wing to number10. Gyabi is then sucked to the ball leaving Traore behind him in acres of space. At the point of the cross 3 leeds players have been attracted to the ball, leaving 2 on 2 in the box and Traore completely unmarked. It reminds one of watching 6 year olds on a pitch where there is zero shape and they all chase the ball.
One more game and we have better get at least a point at Spurs or this cup exit will have been in vain. Then Jesse better starting working on his defence.
Maintaining shape / Attacking the first ball / Aggression/ Pressing as a team all need a lot of work.
I don't really lose sleep over cups these days.
Let's face it, there's only one cup that matters
now and that's the CL. And we're light years away
from that. Staying in the Prem is the goal. Just
concentrate on that this year. If we stay up, have
a really solid go at the FA Cup next season.
A couple of weeks ago it looked a distinct possibility we would go into the ridiculous World Cup break in the bottom three.
If anyone had offered me a choice of wins against Liverpool & Bournemouth or go through to the next round of a competition which nobody cares about & realistically we're not going to win anyway - no brainer.
Spurs is a free hit for me on Saturday considering we still have that game in hand on most sides.
Absolutely no complaints from me on the team selection last night & there were some very encouraging performances from the young lads.
On to Saturday.
Brighton beat Arsenal away and we lost away to Wolves. Very much inferior to the giants of Essex it seems.

i agree. just think 10 changes was too much and not necessary.
maybe we have to differentiate between having respect for the League Cup generally and making a strategic decision for the club to give invaluable experience to a number of our young players with an eye to accelerating their development.
We need a goal scoring striker to become available now much more than we need a run in the League Cup. Last night was about pushing Perkins and Joseph - think Gnonto's already up to speed. Getting knocked out at this point is a price I'm willing to pay if it means we can resolve the striker problem sooner rather than later.
But what do I know? I'm not gutted we lost because PL status must remain top priority this season.
