It's not clear cut either way. Those angles are inconclusive and we are mistaken to thi k tech is 100 per cent correct. Really hard decision for the third umpire

He said there was a strong argument to suggest it was not out.

Find thought it hit the ground, but Butcher gave a very good argument as to why he thought it was out.

As I said above, incredibly hard to tell either way and it just comes down to how your luck is on the day.

Pakistan not out of this yet btw.

If in doubt then you can't give it out. The soft signal is not a factor anymore. 3rd umpire had to make the call looking at the replays which showed ball hitting ground.

Butcher was spot on about the batting though. It was obvious what was coming the batters needed to avoid playing short ball but instead fell into a basic trap. Terrible batsmanship.

I dont think it clearly showed the ball hitting the ground, on that I disagree, but I agree it also failed to conclusive show it was a clean catch, so yes I think doubt should have been given to the batsman.
