World cup final misses are much bigger. There was still plenty of time with Higuain and Robben, though. Muani’s was the biggest miss in football history in my opinion when you consider that it cost them the world cup.

While I see why you'd class the Robben one as a miss, I still marvel as to how Casillas seemed to almost detach a foot from the rest of his body.

It'll certainly go down as an iconic save. As for being the greatest I don't know.

From my perspective it is Alex Stepney save from Eusebio at the end of normal time in 1968 with the score at 1-1.

Alex Stepney’s save from Peter Simpson for United against Arsenal at Old Trafford in October 1967 must be one of the best-ever. Whether he saved it with his face or hands matters not.
