I see the club have announced new shirt sponsorship With the UN refugee agency.

Actually really proud of the club for doing this, feels to be such a better option than taking money of yet another betting site! It’s a classy! & another indicator that the clubs being run well with good intentions 😊

It’s an amazing thing to do. The marketing guys need a huge round of applause gor this. Never seen anything like it before!

Great stuff Forest. I'm envious, I can't see our lot doing anything like that.

I'm impressed!

I think this one could be tough for us. Potentially missing 3 first choice defenders. If we don't score early I reckon it could be cagey.

Just watched the highlights, Joe should have done better for their goal, I don't think he will start against Man U.

Excellent goals by Awoniyi and Brennans second, he was a little greedy in the first half but made up for it.

What was wrong with Hennessy ?

Results today have been decent for us today 👍

I cannot believe it has been over 23 years ( February 6, 1999) since the match between Nottingham Forest and Manchester United, but the pain of that loss still lingers.

I heard the radio coverage and then saw the highlights, and both were incredibly painful.

I'd settle for a draw today, but I expect Man U to win by three goals.

I was at that game, we scored to make it 2-1 just before half time and I remember turning to my mate to say I think we could do something in the second half!

The good news is uncle Fester took our name out of the record books when they won 9-0 at the Saints, good old Fester. 1-8 at home is embarrassing but it wouldn’t have been that bad had the smiling assassin not come on for the last 20 mins and scored 4 goals.

Whilst i hope tonight’s game will have none of the similarities to the above, I’d be delighted if we could do what our League Division one winning team did and win 4-1 at ‘The theatre of Dreams’, unlikely but you never know. Just to throw one more out there, Utd haven’t lost at home in more than thirty five years when leading at half time, that would be another great run to break. Realistically the next two games are probably damage limitation imo, basically any points from those two would be a bonus. Unfortunately, and much as i hate to predict it I see Utd winning by two, i can’t even seeing us scoring. That is not meant as doom and gloom, just an indication of where we are at compared to established teams like Utd and Chelsk1e.

Forest: Hennessey; Aurier, Worrall, Boly, Lodi; Freuler, Mangala, Yates, Lingard; Johnson, Awoniyi. Subs: Smith, Cook, Williams, Colback, O’Brien, Toffolo, Surridge, Dennis, McKenna.

——

McKenna on the bench. The big problem will be that our centre halves aren’t particularly mobile.

I hope everybody had a good Christmas.

It’s going to be tough tonight. But we caught Liverpool on an off day so it might happen again (or on Sunday against Chelsea). Too soon for MGW so Awoniyi starts.

It’s Old Trafford so we don’t have to worry about keeping the crowd quiet; just the eleven on the pitch. BBC showing Shaw at CB with Maguire on the bench. Could be a weakness. Just let’s do our selves justice.

Remember the 4-1 win. Robbo was being Robbo that day.

BBC now changed their graphic to showMalacia at CB. Shaw at fb, Johnno could do him for pace.

I’ve been wondering about Johhno’s penalties and if he will change. I think the last few have all gone to the keeper’s right. They have been good penalties, but is it time to change?
