So, the word on the street is, according to the above posts, he ain’t good enough. Never mind his goals and assists for PSV, or the same as he did in the world Cup.
The voices of both knowledge and reason have spoken, and he hasn’t even signed, far less kicked a ball for the club.
Same as that Salah bloke, the ex-Chelsea player, not good enough, or the Mane geezer, good enough for Southampton but not for the mighty us. And then there’s the Brazilian blokes, you know, Firmino and Coutinho, downed before they arrived.
What the club needs is an in-depth recruiting department, one that searches the planet, analysing each and every aspect of every future potential LFC player, doing the full research, the full monty on them to see if they could become part of the club.
That way, the club wouldn’t need to rely on the ja606 experts so much as they clearly do.

last season we had 6 forwards and could go all the way in comps.
this season with 4 we've had injuries and klopp doesn't play carvalho so we have gone out of the league and the league cup.
can never have too many forwards.
we now have 6 but 3 injured so long term this makes perfect sense.
but yes we desperately need a midfield. on 50mins thiago fabinho and Henderson were toast. we cannot go on like this

Awful post. Full of suppositions designed to back up your original weak point. You heap all the credit on Edwards suggesting that Klopp had no input into those signings. Now that he’s left you make the assumption that everything is down to Klopp, completely ignoring that Edwards has actually been replaced. Out of the examples you’re using to ‘blame’ Klopp, Nunez is nowhere near a flop, and in the long term will prove to be at worst a decent signing, and the second one isn’t even a Liverpool player yet.

So the entire basis of your comment is that Edwards was responsible for all the signings before he left and Klopp is responsible for the two signings since Edwards left?

I knew it was going to be poor but not this poor.
You do know(well in fact you don't as you made the above comment) that both Liverpool and Dortmund operate with a committee of stakeholders who collaborate in making signings, which Klopp then has final say on?
Edwards was replaced by Ward, so if above is your ridiculous argument then it should be Edwards signings were good but not so much Ward. This would be a tiny bit less stupid than your actual comment.
In the real world one man isn't responsible for successful transfers or flops. Edwards himself had a big role in the likes of Aspas, Markovic and Benteke. It was Comolli who brought him to the club, as they began the stats based recruitment strategy. It took years of failures in the transfer market for this strategy to become what it is today and there are a host of people responsible for it. One is obviously Klopp who as I said before has final say.
One thing is for sure, you cannot lay either any particular flop or any particular success as one man, not Klopp and not Edwards. Where Edwards seemed to excel was actually getting deals done extremely quick to beat off the competition. The actually identifying and choosing players was done by a whole host of people.
People are still stuck in this old school mindset of managers buying players. Most clubs in the PL transitioned away from that well over a decade ago. This is how Arsenal were first able to compete with United on a lesser budget, that's how long ago it began.

last season we had 6 forwards and could go all the way in comps.
this season with 4 we've had injuries and klopp doesn't play carvalho so we have gone out of the league and the league cup.
can never have too many forwards.
we now have 6 but 3 injured so long term this makes perfect sense.
but yes we desperately need a midfield. on 50mins thiago fabinho and Henderson were toast. we cannot go on like this

Awful post. Full of suppositions designed to back up your original weak point. You heap all the credit on Edwards suggesting that Klopp had no input into those signings. Now that he’s left you make the assumption that everything is down to Klopp, completely ignoring that Edwards has actually been replaced. Out of the examples you’re using to ‘blame’ Klopp, Nunez is nowhere near a flop, and in the long term will prove to be at worst a decent signing, and the second one isn’t even a Liverpool player yet.

So the entire basis of your comment is that Edwards was responsible for all the signings before he left and Klopp is responsible for the two signings since Edwards left?
Wow.
I knew it was going to be poor but not this poor.
You do know(well in fact you don't as you made the above comment) that both Liverpool and Dortmund operate with a committee of stakeholders who collaborate in making signings, which Klopp then has final say on?
Edwards was replaced by Ward, so if above is your ridiculous argument then it should be Edwards signings were good but not so much Ward. This would be a tiny bit less stupid than your actual comment.
In the real world one man isn't responsible for successful transfers or flops. Edwards himself had a big role in the likes of Aspas, Markovic and Benteke. It was Comolli who brought him to the club, as they began the stats based recruitment strategy. It took years of failures in the transfer market for this strategy to become what it is today and there are a host of people responsible for it. One is obviously Klopp who as I said before has final say.
One thing is for sure, you cannot lay either any particular flop or any particular success as one man, not Klopp and not Edwards. Where Edwards seemed to excel was actually getting deals done extremely quick to beat off the competition. The actually identifying and choosing players was done by a whole host of people.
People are still stuck in this old school mindset of managers buying players. Most clubs in the PL transitioned away from that well over a decade ago. This is how Arsenal were first able to compete with United on a lesser budget, that's how long ago it began.

You act like you have all the inside information how our recruitment behind the scenes works. Klopp has the final say who is coming in. Players won't be bought if they don't fit the style.
