Still annoying though. Hahahaha
Thought he was pretty ordinary at the world cup, like most of their players. But it’s not really something you can judge a player off of.

Wouldn't say he had a bad world cup at all. Thought he was their best player.

Yeah I thought he was. Scoring three goals didn’t mean he carried them, they just bored their way through the competition without really playing well.
I’m pretty sure we aren’t in for this guy because of the emergence of Garnacho, signing Gakpo would’ve just hindered him playing more minutes for us

We had this guy as backup option to Antony last summer, why is everyone getting a boner about being beaten to him by the scousers? If he was that good we would’ve signed him instead of Antony
I never really got our interest in him. He looks a very good player but he’s mainly a left sided attacker who can play in a front 2 or at number 10.
We’ve loads of options on the left, don’t play with a front 2 and he’s not gonna replace Bruno either. Different type of player.

Yes there was definitely interest there but it doesn’t look like we pushed hard for him.
With the Glazers looking to sell that could hold up any business we do anyway.
