now that the game is over, I'll admit - I would have lost the plot if that Bruno goal happened against us
tbh offside shenanigans aside United were easily the better team
decisions go with united both from Arsenal and City games
we were slightly better 1st half
City were much better 2nd half
chatic 5 mins swung the game - Garnacho coming on for Eriksen made a big difference for us - gave us an outball for the counter attack

think we might see one of those fa apologies over that offside, becoming more common for them to admit to their mistakes
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's nothing for them to apologise for. By the letter of the law there was nothing wrong with the goal.
Of course, common sense would have disallowed the goal, but there has been no common sense in football since the introduction of var.

my bad
Grealish goal was City's only shot on target
De Gea made 0 saves
Is that the first assist from somebody who never touched the ball?

Don't think you deserve the win.
A draw would be the fairest result in a game that was mostly poor.

We can agree to disagree but
https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-11---offside
-preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision
-making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball
-a player moving from, or standing in, an offside position is in the way of an opponent and interferes with the movement of the opponent towards the ball this is an offside offence if it impacts on the ability of the opponent to play or challenge for the ball
In my opinion he's offside according to each of these.
If rashford stopped and not followed the ball, it would not be offside

Doesn’t matter Akanji should play to the whistle! And he didn’t touch the ball or interfere with an opposing player!
@PetrCech
The first United goal just proved the people who make the rules don’t understand the game.
