I've watched that a few times now and as a neutral I just cannot see how that's a pen? Fair enough the ref did but it just seems like incedential contact that would occur anytime?

If you try and tackle for the ball on the ground and miss the ball and hit the player it’s a penalty everytime so why not if the ball is in the air and you challenge with your head?

I think the contact doesn't really change anything, he was never getting the ball. But because there is the contact it's not clear and obvious either way so it's just gonna go on the refs call, which is hard to make in an instance under those circumstances.

Honestly just more annoyed at ourselves for shooting ourselves in the foot after putting ourselves in a good position with a make shift team at a tough place to visit.

You could say most penalties are just coming togethers tbh, only difference with this one is it’s their heads and not their legs.

I do think Taylor's threshold for a foul hasn't been particularly consistent this half though, which also kinda blurs the lines on the pen more. Not sure what he was like in first.

Fair point, it is rare that pens get given for that? My belief is that I don't think there was any intention and it was accidental? That it is was the heads and not a usual tackle does make it a baws hair more complicated mate
