Whay did they do in the world cup break.
They have got worse defensively.
Darwin Spoonez was a huge schitty waste of money
Very simple an aging side that can't compete against teams with high energy. Saw it in the game against us earlier in the season pretty equal in the first half but then in the second half you couldn't live with our energy. Was a similar story if I remember rightly against Tottenham although you got away with that one.
Just returned your normal standard of the last 30 years. Bellingham would be foolish to join.

Get used to it I’d recommend, until we get some owners who are willing to invest to plug the glaring gaps in this squad the slide will continue.

This game.had nothing to.do.with energy. It was set pieces and punts and they couldn't cope.woth it. Everyone knew what would happen today and it happened ed exactly how they planned it. It is beyond embarrassing
Whole squad needs a revamp, it’s just so damn stale now.
It’s easy. We’ve not invested in the right players at right time.
Sold Mane and signed the Uruguayan Werner.

Today that might be the case but pretty much the rest of the season that is the issue, even the other day when Dewsbury Hall ran through your midfield that surely should have been another warning sign.
A few aspects:
Major long term injuries;
The press and intensity has disappeared;
Young players not good enough;
New players need time to bed in;
Teams know how to play Vs the high line now;

Id agree with what you said and that arsenal game was the real eye opening gut wrencher. That 2nd half that day was the 1st time in a long long time where I sat and throught "this team we are playing are so much better than us". Hungrier, faster, yous looked like us of 3 years ago.
The team is bang average at the minute and there will be more days like this one today. The saving grace is we are not trying to chase down a juggernaut like city this season. We are in a rat race with 4 or 5 other teams who will also have plenty of days like ours today.
1.) The squad has been allowed to go stale due to the neglect by FSG with regards to the playing squad. We need new owners and fast. I would take absolutely anyone over FSG if they spent big money
2.) Klopp is so stubborn with his tactics. It is infuriating at times. We knew what Brentford were going to do
He should have gone 5 at the back to shore up our leaky defence.
3.) Nunez. Je may still come good, but this is turning out to be as big of a disaster as signing Keita and Carroll. £80m for a forward who struggles to hit the target is just plain baffling. Haaland costing £50m tells you everything you need to know. Yes, Haaland's contract is mental but we have been done over by Benfica here.
Full marks to Brentford, fully deserved.
They dictated the play, the pace, then energy, they played like a team committed. They shut us down in the second half, almost total domination.
I’ll feel better once the Jamesons kick in.

If City get Bellingham in the summer, then we may as well just go home. They'll dominate both here and abroad for years.

That’s the same nonsense people were coming out with when they signed Haaland
Lack of investment over a sustained period will always catch up with you eventually. We have a squad that is well beyond its best and seemingly owners who refuse to finance the start of the next squad.
Just one midfielder would immeasurably paper over the cracks in the short term but even that won’t be financed. Really depressing.
I’d imagine coming up short last season has been mentally damaging to the group.
