Not delighted with that line up. Could have used Lindelof and Maguire on Friday or next Tuesday.

Also even though Antony wasn’t playing amazing the team is far better and more balanced when he is there. The majority of our best performances have come with him in the side.

Yes, I would have thought Everton on Friday would have been better for rotation, if rotation is what this is. Could have played Varane and Maguire tonight and then Lindelof and Martínez on Friday, for instance.

Antony not being in the squad suggests an injury? And with Sancho unavailable we suddenly look short on the right again.

Surprised to see both Lindelof & Magauire come in but Martinez probably needs another week and Varane needs to be managed carefully.

Interesting line up. Is that a diamond 4-4-2? Surely VDB won’t be on the wing?

I always feel we are playing a risky game without Varane.

Antony being out of the squad suggests injury, illness, personal issue or discipline. If dropped for tactical reasons, he'd be on the bench (he hasn't played that badly).

It'll be 4-2-3-1 as usual but with Bruno on the right and Beekers ghosting around in the in #10 position.

Why is lindleorf and Maguire starting ?

Ten Hag may really want a trophy though and he feels he can play the two CBs tonight and then rotate the next two games in the Cup to keep everyone on their toes.

As long as our tempo is good I'm still very confident of a win.

big game for Donny this though. I'm sure ETH has been trying to build him back up to the player that looked good in some top European games and was a Holland starter, and Beekers did look more involved in his last sub appearance. Needs to show something tonight from the start.
