Of course we aren't, are we?
Well the answer is yes, we are in the title race, because it's possible. For two reasons, we are playing much better and winning consistently. And the teams above us occasionally drop points.
But it is highly unlikely as I can't think we have improved enough to be the best team, or even the second best.
How I rue those two opening games.
I'd say the starting line for the title race won't be visible until maybe late February.

I’d take 2 points from the City and Arsenal games if you offered me that now.

Yes, if we’re being realistic that wouldn’t be bad at all.

But would we rather have two points than three? As well as not suffering a defeat, two draws would limit Arsenal and City to just one point each off us.
If we are to lose either/both, we at least have to compete - unlike most of the game at the Etihad.
You are definitely in it and I’ll be hoping for a draw in the Manc derby as opposed to a United win for sure. In fact if I had to choose a winner I’d probably go with City just to solidify our own position in the top 4.
I don’t think we have all the tools to be in the title race. I still think top four is a big ask with the squad we have despite our recent good form.
