Agreed, Potter in, best Chelsea manager in years
They're "spoilt" for a reason though. because your previous owner fired managers every year or so, so your current generation of fans arent used to anything different.
No, get rid of him if you ask me. I'm a spurs fan and I'm convinced Conte is gonna walk in the summer so we'll gladly take Potter off your hands.
He's a top coach but I had a feeling this was gonna happen at a trigger happy 'success now' club like Chelsea. He's a project man that needs time.
I think the challenge he's got is fans' expectation since 2003 coupled with an owner that has a pretty scattergun approach in the transfer market. I get the feeling Boehly wants to create a model like City's where success is great but success with attractive football is even better. That's why he got rid of Tuchel, who like a lot of Chelsea managers gives off an abrasive, win at all costs aura, just like Jose and Conte. Turning the ship around after 20 years takes time. Short term pain for long term gain. If Boehly sacks Potter now it pretty much confirms him as a man with deep pockets and absolutely no idea how to run a football club.
Wow Strike, a Spurs fan trying to give it large.
Come back when your relevant again.
Wont be long till your back in our shadow again.
We will do what Chelsea do, we will rise again.
This club are winners it's in our DNA, but Spurs would not know anything about that,.

Times have changed...we need to adapt & adopt a more sustainable future now
I't'll be a tough season & we may well not make Europe....if we ever get our injuries sorted we might start winning some time

Ignore Strikemug he's a gimp of sizzle & Sandy proportions
The only DNA in Chelsea that made them winners was spending beyond their means and almost bankrupting the club. And then being backed by Russian blood money.
Otherwise Chelsea have never been relevant and have always been in Spurs' shadow.
Has there ever been such a drop off in quality of manager at a big club than Tuchel down to Potter?
I honestly can't imagine there has been. What on earth were the Chelsea owners thinking
klopp took well over a season , I think nearly 2 before he got it right, Pep took well over a season, they were also losing game after game and embarrassing defeats.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing wrong with the article but I hate these types of arguments. Taking away the fact both Pep & Klopp had track records that justified time in the first place (even if they did nothing) both of them in their first year gave reasons for fans to believe in them.
City's first 10 games in 16-17 were pretty much what they'd wind up becoming, it was like an early teaser. And Klopp was giving Liverpool fans electric football, they had problems but it was enjoyable to watch their matches even as a neutral back then. Both teams evolved with signings but encouraging signs were there. What's Potter actually done that encourages you so far?

The fact that you're now signing Felix says to me that Potter is having to juggle with a chairman hellbent on playing Fantasy Football. You have plenty of players in that mould. He's not a prolific poacher, which is what you need right now. Not more skilful wide forwards.

Chelsea bought every trophy they won from 2000 onwards with blood money.
Now they get a good young progressive manager who wants to try to make them a respectable outfit and their glory hunting fans like Rusty want the manager out.

It was doomed to failure from the very off when he showed Rio Ferdinand a video on how to defend certain situations starring Phil Jagielka.
