Nothing special. 7 goals in 6 straight matches is a bad month to Haaland.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Harry Kane could only dream of a scoring form like this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I could be wrong but I think Kane had one of the best goals to games ratios for a single PL season - 29 in 30.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Must have been playing for Real Madrid somehow I guess. Can't imagine anybody playing for Tottenham reaching this level to be fair ... I mean we're talking about Spurs here , mate.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Look up Clive Allen.

This is true, it's the best ratio for a Golden Boot-winning season in PL history.

I imagine Haaland will surpass it this year with something like 39 in 35 or whatever.

As with every other footballer/sportsperson it's a given that one can only do their best against the opposition provided.

And once again, I'm tempted to suggest "and so it begins" but, of course, it isn't really that it's just another example of "and so it continues".

Lovely bloke and all that, but hype is hype, and what one does with hyperbole is entirely down to one's levels of perception, or capacities for understanding. Some can see it, some don't/won't/can't. No shame in the latter - it is amusing though.

He's invariably useful from the bench (the later the better) in cup games and/or against lower level teams - and, in itself, that is all great and wonderful etc., etc.

But he ain't even the "best striker" in the country, county, metropolitan region, city, or club. And he is not an answer to any reasonable footballing question.

But the twattery of others will continue, I suppose.

Shows how good he is. Even this season we've played like crap and he often has games with few touches but he has 15 in 18. That's impressive.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's wasted a whole career at Spurs though. What a shame.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How's he wasted a whole career, has it finished yet? He could win a CL medal this season. Lucky he didn't join United.

If this is the new Marcus Rashford, then we’re suddenly a very dangerous side. Let’s hope he can sustain a decent level of form for a decent stretch.

Right now, he has the air of a top quality player about him, even when he’s playing badly he finds a goal.

I read somewhere Kane is on his 8th season, looking to score 20+ goals....

Ah well, Rashford is better

Can you even compare a 26 year old left winger to a 30 year old striker?

posted on 11/1/23

Rashford has always been a good player, have always said it, even when many United fans wanted him gone. The guy has looked like he's carrying the world on his shoulders the last couple of seasons and didn't seem happy at all. This seems to have affected his game. He seems a lot happier on the pitch this season.

I still maintain he would have been a better striker than a winger but it's probably too late for that now.

most certainly can considering their roles, kane drops a lot deeper nowadays whether as rashford plays on the last man a lot (similar to salah). The role of traditional wingers and strikers has changed over the last few years. People play roles now rather than positions.
hazard and salah for example, both wingers but both played completely different roles.
Michael owen and heskey, both strikers, both different roles.

This is an amazing observation of a player who was written off completely by a large section of United fans on SM in recent times as a lazy, arrogant, clearly not good enough and has never been, anti GVT, politically meddling in stuff he doesnt understand, should be sold to get what we can for him as no self respecting top flight club would ever want to sign him, etc, etc etc.......
