interestingly someone posted on molmix several hours before kickoff that Guedes wouldn't be in the squad today and is going out on loan.

Instead of taking the knee today, West Ham's players will be sitting down and licking their own arseholes before killing a sparrow. 🐱

Looks a bit lame to me !

Where’s Gem? He’s lost interest in his match threads.

He’s nearly as bad as that last half witted clown that had the gig. 👍

I'm here mate but feeling really rough at the moment. Chemo is knocking me about. Lost the stream 10 minutes ago as well.

Good result for Gem and Julen Lopetegayewe

We both do our best

Good performance overall. Much better since Julen arrived.

Lemina looks like he fits in nicely. We looked better with Raul up front. Cunha isn't that player.

Who knew a good conductor would make a difference to the orchestra’s tune?

Difference is chalk and cheese.

Only complaint I have so far is the 5 at the back change we make late in games, always seems we cling on after that.

No complaints from me as long as we do cling on!!

hard to figure what our preferred set up will be. Given the options now it looks like three in midfield is a certainty.

Can't see us only going with two forwards in that case so a back three looks unlikely.

Good performance and very important win, albeit a bit nervy late on.

Need to brush up on playing out of defence when we are being pressed. Sa had some dodgy moments on the ground and Collins also unsure at times, Kilman and Bueno both good.

We were the better team over all with good retention of the ball and a patient build up. Still not got it right in terms of turning good play into goals but it was a well taken one by Podence. Neves excellent as usual, Nunes ok but did lose possession a few times. Moutinho had a decent game, still life in him yet. Cunha lively without threatening to score but does knock good balls in from the channels. Hwang and Podence both ok. Good to see Julen continuing making good use of the bench and he clearly sees Ait Nouri as more of a forward player.

Man of the match for me though was Semedo. By far his best game of the season and was good defensively and getting forward on the right.

Decent cameo from Raul today also. Won balls in the air, which we haven’t seen since his injury and provided some good linkup play.

And the inconsistency of refereeing was there again. We recently saw Salah score for Liverpool after being played on by a touch from Toti. Today Nunes ran through from an offside position and scored after a through ball that came off a West Ham player. But Var ruled offside

Yes agreed MoM Semedo. Pleased to see him back to hi best. He’s clearly a good player but lost his way big time. Looks as if JL has faith in him, as he has in Hwang who does some good work. Would still like to secJimenez start though.
First half was very up and down but things improved after the goal. Someone needs to have a word with Collins and Sa who, between them will cost us a goal sooner or later. Rather see the keeper clear it up field far more often.
Didn’t think Podence had his best game but he converted what was a good goal. Thought Nunes also wasn’t at his best for the most part, giving the ball away too often.
One highlight for me was Lemina who I think may prove to be a useful addition.
Bring on Liverpool cup an league. Both winnable. Man City also not unbeatable.
I might just be getting ahead of myself now.

The points were the most important thing today, performance was good but we gave the ball away too often in dangerous areas and against decent sides we'll get punished. The thing that is still really really frustrating me though is this idea that we can only start attacks from the goalkeeper. We win the ball in decent areas in the middle of the park even in the opposition half yet for some mad reason we have to push it back to Sa rather than taking advantage of the position we're in and pushing forward from there. Drives me mad.

League table looks better this evening. Mind you, anywhere up to 13th looks at risk currently. Who would have thought Fulham and Brentford would be so high up at the start of the season? Or Chelsea and Liverpool in mid table?

Difficult to see us picking up enough points between now and the end of the season to be completely safe going into May.

For now let’s enjoy being out of the relegation zone
