Harrison imo
James has been in their bench since arriving. Probably would have played more minutes with us.
James would have barely played for us either. He doesn't play before Sinisterra, Harrison, Aaronson (although he's becoming the new Dan James), Summerville or Gnonto. The latter two young lads have already done more in a few games than James did in an entire season.
The imminent arrival of Rutter pushes James even further out of the picture.
Terrible signing. Can run but his ability with a football is nowhere near Premiership level. We'll struggle to get anything like half what we paid for him. Hopeless.
Admittedly, his finishing lets him down. But he's bloody quick!

Can't beat a man with a ball at his feet, his crossing is poor too. All he has is pace. It's no good being as quick as an Olympic sprinter if you can't use a football. Plenty of options who offer far more now in the squad.

Just felt like a pointless ego driven signing "we've kept tabs on him for years and always get our man" sort of thing.
Do feel sorry for him in that he committed to Leeds (didnt he fly to match straight after birth of child) and then got shifted out despite all the platitudes.
He already has a career some others would envy due to clubs he's played at and World Cup, but I really dont think he's shown that much.
If James had the technically ability of any single one of our other wingers he'd be totally world class.
As it stands he only had pace, everything else about his game is so lacking it's unreal.
He will end up dropping through the leagues like a stone once his pace goes

I'll be surprised if he plays in the Premiership again after this season to be honest.
The signing of a left back and striker were critical. Both feel unknown but the investment from the club is impressive. Its to be seen is Wober us a LB or CD.
I'm not bothered about further signings. The squad is full of players who have under achieved such as Firpo, Llorente, James or players who are still to make a mark, Roca, Kristensen, Koch, Aaronson
I'd rather see the coach develop these players in the way we have seen progression in Gnonto, Somerville, Adams, Meslier and bar the last game, Struijk
Struijk would be a real asset if only he could string a few consistent games together. But then, which of our players can?
Meanwhile I'm hoping that rumours of Firpo being shipped out or sold come to fruition - that would be an amazing result.
What is going on with Rutter deal, thought he was there for medical yesterday?
