Liverpools midfield needs a massive overhaul.
Thiago has always been an injury issue, Henderson is at the end of his career, Keita is nowhere near good enough, Fabinho is a clogger who would do better with better players around him, Ox is a joke, Elliott is a oompah loompah with an anger issue but may make it with better players.
Wonder if they have tried to kidnap Caicedo and MacAllister...

True. And none of the above would change the fact the we have an abomination of midfield. Ox is not the problem. Hendo, Thiago and Fab are.
The OP must be mistaken.
All the Liverpool supporters here were very clear about how amazing Oxlaide-Chamberlain is, and how they'd ripped Arsenal off with the low fee they paid for our 'best player'.
However, the OP is also correct.
He's garbage.
There is no doubt you need some additions in CM but the Liverpool teams of the last few years that were winning regularly had TAA and Robertson flying down the outside and stretching teams, they don't seem to be doing that as much?
Maybe if the CM was better they could do it more but I think the defense hasnt been as good either and you're losing goals you wouldn't have previously, up top, when everyone is fit you're well sorted

The article.was about how ox cam.get in our team.nit anout our sheet midfield. I.amde the point that Ox would not get in our team if FOUR of those players were available
Yeah, but you can't expect to have zero injuries, Oxlade-Chamberlain's just a symptom of the problem, Liverpool's team is ageing, they clearly don't have the money (just like Arsenal & the $pud$) to freshen it up & to build the necessary squad depth.
It will be interesting to see who buys the club & how deep their pockets will be now that FSG have seen the writing on the wall.
Ox only started today as four attackers were injured. He doesn't even play wide for us, he plays in midfield. He did a good job for a season or two and has been poor since, although continued to have his injury problems.
Ox was probably still our better forward today.
Salah was terrible
Gakpo has shown nothing in 2 games but he is walking into a disaster.

Oh OK, you're all fine then, don't worry about it...keep getting comprehensively outplayed in every department by the likes of Brighton. 👀
Someone like Ox should have been shown the doors years ago is what I think the OP is referring to. Injury prone and a average footballer as a result.
Klopp is too loyal and our owners hate making a huge loss on a player. Now he leaves in summer on a free. 2 fingers to the club.
Any other club and Ox would have been at a lower PL club or playing in Turkey 2 years ago.

Just send him out on loan. Take his squad number off him and he will look to move.
When Klopp first joined he was ruthless with Sakho, Benteke, Mignolet etc but refuses to be ruthless on the duds he bought. It was only this summer that we got rid of Karius

Ox staying as long as he has is a good example of Klopp’s loyalty to players being at least partially responsible for this mess.

Nah, a lot of those were not Premier League goals, & he was also playing in front of one of the best midfields in the country throughout his career. I was watching him live, most of the time it was like playing 10.5 men - couldn't cross, couldn't tackle, couldn't beat a player except kick & run & KEPT ON giving the ball away. 🤷♂️ Then he'd AGAIN get injured, talked a good game but like The Ox flattered to deceive with the odd glimmer. You don't win the League with people like these.
The real proof was when Walcott left Arsenal, Everton quickly junked him & he can't get in Southampton's squad ! The latest is that he is likely to move to Cardiff, he is only 33. 👀
10 were in the PL and 4 in CL. The other 5 helped us to a trophy.
