LOL Spurs for life mate. Been there, seen it, done it with Spurs.

Son didn't look right at all - injured? You should have taken the £100m for Kane when you could, and had a rebuild. The longer it goes the harder it is to build back.

Think it'll be tough for Spurs for the next couple of seasons, gonna be a lot of players coming in and out of the club. May not be of the quality required to remain in the CL as I'm sure the cost of the new stadium is going to be factored into any future transfer spending

There’s an outside possibility that it could be just what they need. It’s Unlikely, but imagine some of the old guard go, and some hungry talented youngsters come in perhaps with some canny signings, might seem a totally different proposition. Probably will need a new dynamic manager in that case.

Agreed, might be a blessing in disguise, bring through some youngsters or sign a few youngsters to build a new team around. Spurs will be fine but might take a few seasons out of the CL

I doubt Spurs will remain in the CL, but that would not be a problem, if they team can be rebuilt properly. All of the old guard now need moving on, and that includes Son and Kane.

Spence is not going to make the slightest difference to Spurs defence. I suspect he is a worse version of Sessignon. Spurs need real quality in the back four, not some ex championship defender, who I doubt is anywhere near the level required.

Spurs do have one or two promising youngster in Sarr and Gil. I personally would now give them a chance, then add a few more in over the next year or so.

One things for sure the whole back four and goalie need upgrading, bar maybe Romero, but he is only average, but may look better with better players around him.

Spurs are a bang average club with a nice stadium.. been punching for a few years but will never amount to anything... 3/4th best team in London at best

Yeah Spurs will be fine in the long run, a change of the guard and a few seasons out of the CL will allow for a rebuild and to reset expectations somewhat. I think during the period of transition Spurs need to get back to playing football the way Spurs traditionally play, which is entertaining attacking football. At the moment I think Contes way of playing doesn't help. Losing and playing rubbish football at the same time, there's nothing worse (we would know under Jose years)

This is the only time in our history we haven’t been bigger than Man City, give us the same level of funding and we would be far bigger again.

City are a club where the manager keeps criticising the fans

The difference is that Saints have always been varying degrees of schitt. You have won a single major honour in your 100 plus year existence - Victorian side “the wanderers” won 5 in 24 years.

So of course your fans would be happy with where we are.

However I go on Saints web from time to time - within 6 weeks of his appointment you lot had a Nathan Jones out article and your fans are fuming at the moment - But Southampton have never been a solid Prem team so why the moaning?

Sandy, the only thing on offer this season for Spurs is the FA cup and we would need some very generous draws.

The league is finished for us, 7/8th at best I would imagine.

The CL - we might squeeze past Milan, but someone will give us an absolute hiding with that defence

The FA cup - that’s the only thing I can cling to and yet we’ve lost the last 8 Semis we have been in

No matter how hard Abu Dhabi tries, City will always be a small club, still cant even fill out a stadium with all theyve been given on a platter

Losing wasn’t a problem under Mourinho.

He had (and still has if we exclude ETH) the second highest win percentage of any manager in United’s history, and the second lowest loss percentage.

The football was eye-stabbingly bad though.

Spurs are not in a great place. But I don't take lectures from City fans. You won a lottery to get success, and you cannot even sell out your ground.

Blimey, what happened to Mr Positive?

I do think Conte's tactics, demeanour and criticisms of club ambition are contributing to the defensive fragility. Obviously he's right about club ambition, we all know Levy's faults.

But when you set up with a five, you're saying your defence isn't good enough to play in a four. When you're non-committal to the rebuild project, you're setting a precedent to your squad. When you perpetually moan about club finances and the profile of player you want, you're effectively saying what you have isn't good enough.

Now he might be right about some of those things but what does that do to player confidence? Imagine playing in a defence where your manager thinks you're so bad, you need not only an extra man in there, but two holding to cover as well. He's sending messages to them that they're just not good enough. That might be accurate but the only way of knowing is by seeing how they get on with another manager that really breeds confidence.

If you think about it, when we get another manager in, they're likely to play in a four. That means, we'd only need one top class centre back to slot in alongside Romero and the current lot would be benched. We've yet to see Udogie in a full back role, he might be decent and obviously we need an able right back.

We're already conceding over 2 goals a game. The system isn't working and as far as I'm concerned, the mistakes are happening as a consequence of shattered confidence as much as a lack of ability.

I'd like to see how this squad looks with a manager that breeds confidence before throwing them all out. A lot of what we're seeing is down to Conte as much as it is the individuals in question.

Dier, Davies and even Lloris have been poor a long time before Conte turned up. They are the problem, not the manager.

I am sure Conte wants to upgrade them.

Do you think a new manager is seriously going to get the likes of Dier and Davies up to Prem level. Or Lloris gifting goals to the opposition like its Xmas. I don`t think so.

It's surprising just how much Spurs have spent in recent seasons. They have definitely backed managers but the issue is Levy seems to mess around and take forever to finalise a deal, whilst buying players managers don't seminars to want (Spence etc)

Spurs just haven't used the money well. It's been a pattern since the Bale/modric sales.
Levy bidding 12m for Tossard was just embarrassing. If u want a player and he is priced at a reasonable amount, I just don't see in what dimension Levy thought the bid would in any way benefit Spurs. Levy reputation has got to the point I suspect most clubs just hate dealing with him.

For as long as the manager's are levy puppets Spurs will continue to be unsuccessful on the pitch. Conte isn't a puppet and I can def see a storm brewing.
