Brings back memories from my childhood of the likes of Steve Sutton, Cloughie, Cloughie jr, Garry Parker, Nigel Jemson, Franz Carr, Kingsley Black et al.
2 wins and a loss (to Man Utd) in 4 years if I recall, bookended by Arsenals wins in 87 and 93 (and a distressing defeat to Luton Town and the Steins).

Winterburn missed pen v Luton in 1988 if I recall.
something of a free hit for both teams this one, both have bigger fish to fry, though winning a trophy of any kind would be a boost. Even if Utd do win the competition they won't be playing in the European equivalent next season, as i think they will be in the champions league, for the Garibaldi, staying in the Prem is far more important, and lucrative. Even from a Forest point of view, i expect Utd to have too much over the two legs, had it been a one leg semi i would have had more hope. The crowd will definitely be up for this one, and will probably even make more noise in the away leg, but i just feel the Utd squad will have too much for us. The main thing we have to take from this cup competition is how far we have come in a very short period of time, to be in the semi's is a remarkable achievement, one which Cooper, the team and the fans should be extremely proud of. It is by no means impossible we can't win this, even over two legs, remember back to York stunning Utd over two legs, albeit many years ago. I imagine Cooper will play his strongest eleven, Utd a very competitive, if slightly under strength team. Forest to either draw the home leg or nick it by the odd goal, Utd to win over both legs, not forgetting you also have the Referee to beat at Old Trafford as well as the opposition, they certainly seem to get some very favourable decisions on their own turf, i'm not blaming them, its just the pressure the officials seem to feel.
Yeah, Diafol, right back Winterburn missed the chance to put us 3-1 up from the spot - Officer Dibble saved it. The Luton got two late goals to win their only ever major trophy I believe.
Thanks for posting.
I think we will need a two goal lead to take to OT.
I agree with your starting eleven, ‘chile. I think they will rest few tonight although it will still be a team full of internationals.
3-1 Surridge, Boly, Johnson (p)/Rashford
Surridge, McKenna and Danilo start
Smith & Willy Boly are on the bench

Looking at those line ups, both managers are taking this very seriously.
Far too easy for him though
GGGGGGOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!
Looks like his knee is about 1cm offside. Football is supposed to be about scoring goals, giving the advantage to the attacking team, VAR is killing the game.

Shock manu getting a lucky VAR decision.
At least we are attacking now
You might beat Man U, but you have to beat VAR as well.
First time watching Danilo, really like him
Scarpa really growing into the game. Danilo looks class. Can’t believe how attacking we are playing. MGW having a great game so far. But we could also concede at any minute

Game and tie over.

That’s the spirit
Looking at the VAR against us I still don't see how they have given it. Sam looks bang in line with the defenders hand.
Nah, we got this, second half, attacking the Trent End, early goal, back in it.....

Poor from Hennessey. Pushed it back in to the middle. Sad to say but Hendo probably saves 1 if not both of those goals.
