Agree with Merry on this; any man that has played for both clubs clearly doesn’t understand the depth of the rivalry and the history of either club.

Even when it’s the other way - Michael Owen - it’s egregious. I didn’t like Owen, but he would still have my respect if he’d never have come to us.

The relationship between the clubs back then held nothing like the enmity it does today. Tragedies like Munich, Hillsborough, et al. And another NINETY YEARS of football have elevated that rivalry into something totally different from Busby’s playing days
