But Ndombele doesn’t have the physical attributes to become a machine. There’s limitations to what can be achieved there. But obviously the bigger issue is his mentality, and Conte and Mourinho are superior managers to Pochettino in harnessing a player’s mentality, and they couldn’t manage it because he obviously doesn’t have it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This analysis of Ndombele is about as silly as they come.
The guy's problem was very simple...he is stupid.
He has talent on the ball. But no ability to think.
He went back to France and did the same thing there, and disappeared into oblivion. Played absolutely no role in the French national squad Deschamps didn't go near him. He is now history. A stupid player who didn't ever make it, not because he lacked football talent, but because he is just dumb stupid.

Well yeah but that’s the point. I think it’s a cop out to reduce Ndombele’s inability to forge a career at Spurs down to a failure to work with Pochettino.

It’s a shame because he’s a fun player to watch. One of the things I dislike about modern football is that lazy mavericks can fall by the wayside. But it’s the case whether the manager is defensive in his approach or attacking. Sadly the physical demand and attention to detail tactically are so much higher than they used to be.

And for the Nth time....do any of you ITK's know what Spurs are planning to do with Oliver Skipp?

Lets talk about players we actual have in house right now!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He played in the cup the other day and looked decent, he won't be going anywhere.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good. I didn't see that PNE match. Glad to hear it...he has talent and I hope he gets back to where he was before injury.
Thanks for the update, Bales

Not sure anyone is saying it's that cut and dried tbf. Plenty of factors. Pochettino being one, Mourinho being another, the pandemic coming right after he moved to England too, and obviously the player himself.

Might never have worked out anyway but not much more could've gone wrong as it did turn out

Ultimately it always come down to the player. Football is a brutal industry, one of the few meritocracies around, but their destiny is in their own hands.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are no ITK's on here. Do you fancy Skipp or something?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I will explain it to you ..... the club is buying nobody for defense this January. Much to the dismay of Sandy and others like myself who would like to see our defence bolstered.
So the way forward will be for our midfield to be strong enough to protect our measly defence. Skipp, in the past before injury was one of our best midfielders, capable of turn defence into attack.
And then he got injured, and come back was slow. I was hoping he will regain his previous form because we badly need midfielders like that.
Especially with Son being on the blink, and Kane out sick.
Now, Bales who understands these things that you do not, hs informed me of Skipp's progress in the PNE match.
So I'm happy.
And you are now informed.

But you asked what are we planning with Skipp? He hasn't answered your question. Best to assume he is part of the squad but needs to out perform Bentancur, PEK, Bissouma and Sarr to have a chance of a regular start. He will be on the bench for the forseeable future.

Glad this is just a loan for Gil without an option. Assuming Conte is gone at the end of the season, it gives Gil one last chance in preseason with a different manager.

The only concerns are the reports he hates England and the lifestyle. That could just be how he’s feeling because he’s not getting a game. If he played more, he’d settle easier.

From the bits I’ve seen of him this season, I genuinely think we’ve got a little Bernardo Silva on our hands and it would be an effin joke if he were let go before he could flourish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

LOL. The only one assuming Conte is gone is you.

That’s not true. Ndombele was more than Bruno, but Poch wanted Ndombele and one of Bruno and Lo Celso, and he chose Lo Celso. Both ended up being poor signings that have hamstrung Spurs for a number of years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agreed, both Ndombele and Lo Celso were just another two of a long list of disastrous Pochettino signings. He purchased some right duds when he was in charge. It's taken three or four seasons just to recover.

You’re a strange guy, talk about loyalty is dead

I’ve never seen a fan of a club spew so much hatred about the greatest manager you’ve ever had since colour TV

So odd

Give it 10 mins and it will be on again, 10 mins after that it will be off again, 10 mins after that it will be on again - I’m not ITK, but I wouldn’t listen to the 99% of utter bullschitt that floats around transfers in the final 48 hours of windows

Ted, the Injury Skipp suffered would seem to have been a big one, he has def lost sharpness - a loan for him to a Prem club might be hugely beneficial in my opinion, but currently he is def behind Bentancur, Bissouma and PEH

LOL I think colour TV was about when Burkenshaw, Venables were managers.

Coming from a supporter that sacks managers on a whim.

Many thanks for that. I did not see the PNE game.
Some said he was okay.
I just wish he'd get back to his original (before injury) form.
