Depends on if some of the other PL clubs have anything to hide, but you'd imagine that they would judging by what I've read.

Over 100 breaches committed by City

Talks of paying fines only, but it should come to docking with points but next season

Nah we don't need Haaland, but we'll have their keeper and De Bruyne - thanks!

It took only 4 years to bring these charges, mainly due to City's tough lawyers making light work of regulators legal dept

Who's next? Chelsea?

Man City and their legacy are already tarnished forever.
That's why nobody bar their own fans give a t0 5s about them winning everything. We just rolled our eyes. We knew they were a cheating corrupt fake club.

Now it's all being acknowledged in the public eye with the sickening facts of cheating. It's all a lie, biggest cheats ever in football. The fact it's in the world's most powerful league too only heightens the matter.

If the Premier League back down now they'll lose the last ounce of credibility they have. Allowing a financial powerhouse club to operate against the rules everyone else has to follow to achieve success.

Expel them

Take away their Titles or let them keep them, nobody cares about those asterisk titles.

EFL says NO. We don't want you.

Let them go set up camp in The Middle East.

They won't be missed by anyone🤑🤢🤮

Have they? Name the clubs that have something to hide. Chelsea maybe. But who else?

Oh yeah, the other clubs will be lobbying as hard as possible to see the maximum punishment for City

Taking away their titles during that period is pointless as, from a legal point of view, you could never prove the financial irregularities led to them winning. They'd be wasting their time.

It feels like some sort of future points reduction (which will only slightly hurt them for a season or two) maybe a transfer ban and expulsion from Europe for a season?

If it's a slap on the wrist I think that signals a new era of football that won't interest me too much. It's already bad enough.

What is good about this is that owners will have to be totally above board, so the likes of NUFC, Man Utds new owners, Chelsea's owners will need to play fair.

Either that, or just make sure they have a better firewall.

Fines or a few points deduction would mean nothing. They would surely have to be thrown out of the Prem, and not just down to the Championship, down to the bottom. It has to take them several years minimum to get back to the Prem.

If and when they do return, then a five year European and Transfer ban could then come into force.

It has to be severe, otherwise others will do exactly the same.

If it's not a severe punishment The Premier League is dead for me. A points deduction and a fine means nothing. City would welcome that with open arms right now to make it all go away. Why should they tarnish The Championship? Send them packing.

is that what happened to rangers in scotland sandy, I cant remember the reason

Firstly should wait to find out the scope and severity of the alledged breaches before advocating punishment(s).

I suspect that suitable palms will be greased and all this will mysteriously disappear, just like all these rapey footballers getting away with it.

They will get fined, there is no chance they will be relegated or have points taken away, even though they absolutely deserve it.

Chelsea will probably have been doing similar, though all their indiscretions will have just disappeared down the big black takeover hole along with Roman`s gift wrapped £1.5billion.

If the charges are upheld then they should absolutely be relegated. A decade of the PL will have been corrupted.

Apparently, Pep has made it clear that if ever any cheating is proven against City, he would walk. Surely, with this charge now, what else does Pep need to go?

Relegated to the Championship so all of the clubs in that league have to suffer? City could take a season there and just come straight back up at the expense of a club who haven't cheated. They should start from the bottom.

You are spot on Sandy. The other clubs must pool together and appoint a lawyer to appear on their behalf before the independent commission to ensure justice is done. This will ensure the City owners cannot bribe everyone, and our lawyer will hold out.

I might write to them to offer my services for free, so we can bury these cheats six feet under.

Well... Presumably the final verdict. You've said it yourself - he'd walk if cheating were proven. They've only been charged at this stage.

The independent commission should do that.

We are not a judicial body. Those rules don't apply to us. Is there anyone that doubts that City are cheats?

Who cares what some commission says?

You'd think if City did get kicked out then they'd come out swinging even harder for the Euro Super League. Juventus too considering their current issues.

posted on 8/2/23

There is a difference between what will happen and what should happen.

City should absolutely be kicked out of the football pyramid and forced to start at the basement bottom. That's what should happen. Everyone knows this.

Whether it actually happens is a whole different question.

A very tempting offer for them I’m sure - I mean all the worlds top lawyers spend their days on JA606

The longer they infest The Premier League the uglier it will get. They belong in The Middle East and they can act however they want there.
