VAR again.

Obviously not the one they apologised for ffs, use your brain.

And obviously the cheating has nothing to with offside. Use your brain.

We’re talking about referees in general, not one or two specific incidents.

I was talking about specific refs who have made mistake after mistake and continue in employment.
One was even brought over from Australia for some strange reason. Another was demoted a while back, didn't improve, and somehow got back into the PL despite a long list of high profile errors (including giving a goal when the ball went 5 yards wide )
And a third who has actually retired from on pitch duties, but for some strange reason has been retained as a VAR when his performances have already led to him being dropped this season.

Maybe you should read who I’m replying to then.

You were replying to me.

Nope. Check again.

What about these refs who are making massive errors again and again? Lee Mason, Jarred Gillet, Stewie Attwell - another week another shocking bunch of decisions.

Half of these ‘massive errors’ are actually just a difference of opinion.

You said refs who make one mistake don't deserve to be sacked. As a new conversation I asked about refs who make high profile mistakes time and time again. I specified 3. That is what you were replying to.

Have another look.

Let me know if you need help.

So when I commented about massive errors, and you quoted "massive errors" you weren't replying to me??

posted on 12/2/23

Was that my first reply?

This is the part where you admit you’re wrong.

posted on 12/2/23

Huh? I asked a question, you replied to that question. Or did you randomly attribute my quote to someone else and answer a question someone else didn't ask??

This was the conclusion to your answer to someone else:
"Not sacking someone because they made one mistake doesn’t mean they’re not accountable."

This was my question:
"What about these refs who are making massive errors again and again? Lee Mason, Jarred Gillet, Stewie Attwell - another week another shocking bunch of decisions."

And you replied to that question with:
"Half of these ‘massive errors’ are actually just a difference of opinion.

There’s also huge issues with cheating that makes reffing nigh on impossible.

Incorrect decisions frustrates me as well, but it’s a very difficult job and calling for people to be sacked when they make a couple of errors is really not going to help anyone."

No-one else, as far as I can see, used the phrase "massive errors", so you are surely replying to me?

posted on 12/2/23

So you replied to me and that’s what started the conversation.

My original reply had nothing to do with you.

posted on 12/2/23

No, I asked a question about refs who repeatedly make errors.

posted on 12/2/23

You were obviously in a conversation about refs who make 1 mistake. I wanted to discuss refs who make multiple errors that the PGMOL acknowledge as errors.

posted on 12/2/23

Read back.

You’re wrong and now you can’t admit it. As per usual.

You missed my point and when I told you that, you claimed it was me replying to your point.

posted on 12/2/23

So you weren't replying to me at all? Even though you quoted me in your reply?

posted on 12/2/23

Nope. But you replied to my point and then claimed otherwise.

As usual, you cannot admit you’re wrong.

posted on 12/2/23

Literally no-one else had posted for over an hour, yet you weren't reply to me? Conversing with yourself?

posted on 12/2/23

If you actually read the content of my comment you’ll see it’s clear who it’s aimed at.

Bless you. It really pains you being wrong, doesn’t it?

Do you remember when you got the name of the player in the City red card incident wrong… so you just disappeared from the thread instead of admitting it?

So funny.

posted on 12/2/23

Your point was refs shouldn't be sacked for one mistake. That seemingly ended the conversation you were having as no-one replied.

I asked a question about refs who make loads of mistakes. A new debate to what you were debating.

You replied to that question. I replied to the reply. You replied to that reply.

posted on 12/2/23

But this debate is now about the fact that you replied to me.

So when I said you missed my point, you then said that I had replied to you.

You were wrong.

=======
You quoted "massive errors". I was the only one who said "massive errors".
So, yes, it was very clear it was aimed at me.

posted on 12/2/23

I didn't even want VAR when I wrongly presumed most decisions would b correct. Like life, suck up the bad luck and crack on!

You’d already replied to me by that point, so it was my original point you replied to and not the other way around.

Have you ever admitted you’re wrong in your life?
