If you actually read the content of my comment you’ll see it’s clear who it’s aimed at.
=======
You quoted "massive errors". I was the only one who said "massive errors".
So, yes, it was very clear it was aimed at me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’d already replied to me by that point, so it was my original point you replied to and not the other way around.
Have you ever admitted you’re wrong in your life?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was my first post after you joined the thread...
Yes, so you replied to me and it’s you who missed my point.
Let me know what you need help with.
I asked a question about specific refs who make a a number of errors after a previous conversation about refs in general who only make 1 error had finished. It was a general question to JA.
You replied directly to me, quoting me as part of the reply to make it very clear it was a response to me.
Yes, which means you missed the point I was making.
Hope this helps.
You responded to me, got it wrong, then tried to claim you were responding to someone else
No, you replied to me.
That’s what started this exchange.
And as usual, you can’t admit it.
Facking hell, I asked a question about specific refs, you replied directly to me, then pretended you were replying to something else even though you literally quoted me
That post was a reply to me.
Is that your way of getting out of this?
My question:

What about these refs who are making massive errors again and again? Lee Mason, Jarred Gillet, Stewie Attwell - another week another shocking bunch of decisions.
Notice the specific refs named.

Half of these ‘massive errors’ are actually just a difference of opinion.
There’s also huge issues with cheating that makes reffing nigh on impossible.
Incorrect decisions frustrates me as well, but it’s a very difficult job and calling for people to be sacked when they make a couple of errors is really not going to help anyone.
Note the direct quote from my question. Obviously a reply to that question.
Then...

Obviously not the one they apologised for ffs, use your brain.
And obviously the cheating has nothing to with offside. Use your brain.
We’re talking about referees in general, not one or two specific incidents.
You got it wrong, you thought we (ie me and you, the only people conversing at that time) were talking about refs in general. You literally state that. I was very clearly talking about specific refs, even naming them...
You assumed wrongly that I was continuing a conversation you were having about refs who make one mistake, when I clearly started a new conversation about refs who make multiple mistakes.
Yes, that first post of yours was a reply to me.
Are you seriously denying that?
We’re talking about referees in general, not one or two specific incidents.
====
I was talking about specific refs, so clearly not a reply to your comments about refs in general
It was a different conversation I wanted to have with anyone who wanted to have it.
The fact you replied to a question about specific refs with the above shows you completely missed the point of the question.
It’s taken you an hour to come up with this excuse.
Better than running away, I suppose.
Listen, you have avoided admitting you’re wrong even in the most blatant of cases. You know that’s true, so you will also understand why I am very clear you’re lying now.

I was talking about specific refs who have made mistake after mistake and continue in employment.

Literally the first thing I said after you revealed you had answered a question that wasn't asked, and in a very condescending manner like the uppity caaant you are.
And then, after that you claimed you were reply to someone else
You’re clearly replying to me.
But as I said, even in the most extreme examples of you literally naming the wrong player, you’ve never once admitted you’re wrong.
So this is a waste of time, because you will say anything to avoid it.
Boring.

I think some people don’t know what accountability means.
Of course referees are accountable.
Not sacking someone because they made one mistake doesn’t mean they’re not accountable.

Naming the wrong player? Huh?
Yes, on the live thread.
You referenced the City incident with the red card and claimed it was a foul on Haaland. It was Grealish. I corrected you and you couldn’t bring yourself to admit your mistake.
One of many errors that you never, ever admit to.
I don't like, or want VAR, obvs each to their own but football is not an exact science and controversy is part of it for me, mistakes are made and we still talk about them years later, part of it is also the delay celebrating after the ball goes in the net, hate that wait.
However I appreciate it is here to stay and I'm only giving a personal opinion

Indeed
It looks like some people don't know the meaning of the word accountability. Sacking someone is not about accountability.
Refs in rugby and other sports are miked up and this means much less officiating controversies than football.
Even a little accountability like merely having to explain why you're making the decision can go a long way.
Remember a few years back when a ref was caught on a mic saying he didn't see what happened but he was just gonna give a penalty to one team?
That's what they're doing all the time which explains the crazy decisions. I know refs should be protected in some ways but a complete absence of pressure to perform and be accurate can never fail to be detrimental eventually.
Referees are accountable.
To say otherwise means you either don’t know what the word means or you are struggling to understand the basic of football.
You are entitled to your opinion, whatever it is. To me, an example like the one I gave above and my own observations watching games doesn't represent officials who are worried about being accountability.
