Don't think Beale would make the same decision later in his career with a bit more experience behind him. Where do you draw the line with "sportsmanship"? Should thistle have deliberately missed their penalty because it was an awful call by the ref? Certainly not, they're gifted a chance and they take it, just as Tillman did.

They were both legal goals within the rules of the game though. If the referee had thought Tillman had engaged in unsporting conduct he can award Thistle the foul for it.
